Ariel grew up a little bit all over. She’s lived in CA, PA, and WI to name a few, however, Ariel and I met 3 years ago riding bikes here in Atlanta. Not only is Ariel a high school teacher for the greater Atlanta area (Tucker) but she is also a doggie mama to Copper, who is pretty much a rockstar. We raced together for a season, then focused on our own life paths, but in the end we continued to hang out on a semi-regular basis, and I couldn’t do this day without Ariel. She is just such an amazing person who will go the extra mile (and I for her). I love this girl!
Kathleen LaPorte

Bikes, always bikes. Kathleen was born and raised here in Georgia and graduated from UGA and is currently attending Georgia State for her Masters, also while working her FT job at the CDC. Little did Kathleen and I know, but we likely ran against each other collegiately a few times, however it wasn’t until bikes that we met. We were on different teams, but I knew she was a good one. So good, in fact, that I showed up at her apartment weeks in a row at 4:45am so we could ride more bikes and share mutual feelings about the goodness of the world, and how we just want everyone to be happy and kind.
Evelyn Todorow

Bikes, again. But also OTP (outside the perimeter [of Atlanta]) Evelyn and Valentin conveniently live right around the corner from Kevin’s parents, which made hanging out pretty easy. I met both Evelyn and her husband a few years after Kevin knew them thru the bike family, however, they feel like family in many ways. Evelyn is an RN, was born and raised in Michigan, attended college at Indiana, and recently became a mama! Last year, what started as wanting to knock out a wall in their kitchen became a long-term home renovation project, which I am selfishly thankful for because we have been able to help out and spend a lot of time with Evelyn, Valentin, Daisy, and now Landon. The Todorow’s are like family to us.

It was only 2ish years ago that Emily and I met, but she immediately made me feel like a rockstar. “You’re the one who makes the leaves, right?” Gahhh, Emily has such a way with words and finding such beauty in all the things. Emily has been there for me when I was a mess, and is always there to listen and help out how she can. Emily was born and raised here in Georgia, graduated from Smith College & George Washington University worked in DC as an architectural historian for the National Register/Park Service, managed historic sites in Maryland, is currently a home inspector (ohhhh yeah, Inspectress General to the rescue!), artist, and a proud proud mama to her 5 year old babe, Ethan.
Jennifer Riniker-Orth

Sister sister! We haven’t always been besties, but we have always been sisters. Jennifer has always worked and is currently proudly an administrative assistant for First Weber (real estate) For Southwest WI and is mama to my niece (Payton) and nephew (Ronnie), whom I regretfully do not see or talk to enough. Jennifer loves to go camping and loves Taylor Swift. We may be loud when we are together, but at least we know how to just have fun!
