This place is so cool! We went recently and people come from all over the world to see it. It is located about 20 minutes away from our home, and can take definitely up to a couple hours.

Cloudland Canyon State Park

Kevin and I just went here and it is BEAUTIFUL! So if you come a day or so early, you might wanna add this to your explorations. It is 1.5 hours NW of where we live in Cartersville, so plan for at least 1/2 a day, if not more for this one. But I highly recommend this if you are looking for some fairly inexpensive ($5 for parking at the park) beautiful views.

Tellus Science Museum

Allatoona Lake

It’s a lake! Go hang out waterside, camp, canoe, kayak, hike, run, what-have-you. Just have a great time and enjoy the great outdoors.

Red Top Mountain State Park Visitor Center

Connected to Lake Allatoona, go to Red Top Mountain!

Pine Mountain Trail, West

Great trails for running or hiking to get your morning started! No better place to see the area than here!

Gone With the Wind Museum

Marietta is Kevin’s hometown, and where I called home when I moved to Atlanta (area). We love Marietta and all it’s cute history!

All kinds of great places to eat, grab a drink or to explore. Check out Two Birds Taphouse or Grover Park Brewery, see an old movie at The Strand Theater.
