What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal attire is requested. Suits, dresses, jumpsuits, and other elegant evening wear are all welcome. October in Taiwan is generally warm and comfortable, though indoor venues are air-conditioned.

When should I arrive in Taiwan?

Answer

We recommend arriving at least 2-3 days before the wedding to adjust to the time difference, explore the area, and most importantly join any pre-wedding activities that interest you!

How do I get around Taiwan?

Answer

Taiwan has an excellent public transportation system, including the High Speed Rail (HSR), local trains, buses, MRT systems, and YouBike rentals. Most destinations can be reached without a car.

Where should I stay?

We have reserved discounted accommodations at the Sheraton Hsinchu Hotel, where the wedding will take place. Additional information and booking instructions can be found on the Hotels page. Additional options in Zhubei includes the AJ Hotel right by the HSR station and can be reserved directly from their website.

Are the group activities required?

Answer

Not at all, but you should! The activities listed on our website are completely optional. We simply want to share some of our favorite places and experiences with friends and family who will be visiting Taiwan.

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Your presence is truly the greatest gift. For guests interested in participating in Taiwanese and Japanese wedding traditions, we have provided an optional red envelope fund in lieu of a western traditional registry. Any contribution will help us build our first home together, but please know that your presence and support are more than enough.

What’s the weather like in October?

Answer

October is one of the most pleasant times of year in Taiwan, with warm days, comfortable evenings, and generally lower humidity than summer. We recommend checking the forecast before traveling and bringing comfortable walking shoes for exploring.
