The Youkilis family discovered the island of Vis long before Hollywood did. My brothers and I grew up spending summers along the towns and islands of the Croatian coast (like Rovinj, Šolta, and Hvar, all worth a visit of their own) but Vis is a special kind of place. The island spent much of the 20th century as a closed military base, off-limits to visitors until the early 1990s. While that wasn’t great for tourism at the time, it ended up giving the island an unexpected gift: decades of untouched landscapes, quiet villages, and an authenticity that still sets it apart. It was my dad's favorite island, it's my favorite island, and I hope it will become yours too! Love, Noah
It’s not just because Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again was filmed here (although that doesn’t hurt). When Noah and I first visited Vis in September 2022, I casually told him this would be where we got married… and four years later, the joke’s on him, I’m true to my word (see below picture of us scoping out the venue three years before we got engaged)! We can’t wait to share the magic of this island with all of you. From the vineyards (make sure to try Malvazija, Plavac Mali, or Vis’s very own Vugava) to the stunning beaches and charming stone towns, we hope Vis will become as special to you as it is to us. Love, Norika
