Our Story
We met by chance in late October 2023 though the exact date is a bit fuzzy to us both. A friend of Rotenda and a colleague of mine, then Thabiso (who’s now very dear to us), had been raving about Rotenda’s Rawtender Hot Sauce. Naturally, I had to try it.
Thabiso texted him to bring a sample to our work place and he came through with the sauce.
That day, I waved at the tall guy delivering the sauce and that was it. No words exchanged, just a polite little wave. I texted him later — chillll, I was just ordering hot sauce! But as fate would have it, we now officially mark 20 November 2023 as the day we really met because that’s how long it took him to deliver the sauce… nci nci.
From there, it was long, light-hearted WhatsApp conversations and more sauce orders (and no, I didn’t get a discount smh!). We kept things friendly, nothing romantic… yet. Our official first date was on 9 December 2023, and even then, we were just two people getting to know each other.
