Head into New Canaan for an afternoon of strolling! The quintessential New England town has a charming main street with plenty of shopping and dining! We love eating at the Elm and recommend the Dry Aged, double double, animal style burger! Big enough to share! We fell in love with this town and are so happy to be getting married here!
Famous for it's beautiful homes, Greenwich also features fine dining and shopping, with Greenwich Avenue often being referred to as the East Coast's Rodeo Drive. A day in Greenwich could also include boating, beach going, or a trip to the theatre or museum! We recommend stopping in to the Elm Street Oyster House for a bite to eat - we went there to celebrate after finding our venue! The Delamar Greenwich is walking distance from Greenwich Ave!
The Delamar Southport’s website sums up Southport beautifully - The little village of Southport belongs to an older, gentler time: stunning Georgian, Victorian and Federal mansions, once home to sea captains, line shady streets still paved with their original blue slate walks and cobblestones. The genuinely charming town center holds a cafe, pharmacy, antiques stores, galleries, post office and grocery, worthy of a Rockwell painting. While unfortunately we had to move our host hotel, we still love this little town and hope you get to check it out!
If you are looking for a fun activity to do that is only 10 minutes away from the Delamar, the Aquarium may be for you!!
South Norwalk is a trendy, more urban setting with craft beer bars that are walking distance from each other. Go to the Blind Rhino and have a New England IPA!
