A day at the beach

There are 10 miles of ocean front on Hilton Head. If you are staying in Sea Pines or Palmetto Dunes where beach access is private you can enter the beach at their respective beach clubs where you can park, or any boardwalk near your rental if close enough to walk. People using the public beach access at Coligny will access at the end of Pope Avenue where there is nearby public parking.

Rent a Bike and Pedal

There are numerous bike rental companies on the island, this is our personal favorite. Order in advance and bikes will be waiting for you at your rental. Biking can be a wonderful way to enjoy the beauty of the island and ride along the hard sand of the beach.

Coastal Discovery Museum

70 Honey Horn Drive, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926

The wedding venue is located on site at the Coastal Discovery Museum. This is a fabulous place to learn about the history, culture and environment of Hilton Head and the Low Country of South Carolina. You can easily spend a few hours touring and walking the grounds to gain an appreciation of the heritage of Hilton Head.

There are over 20 public play golf courses on Hilton Head. Within Sea Pines there are 3 courses including Harbour Town Golf Links, home of the PGA tour event 'The Heritage Classic' held each April. In addition there are two superb courses; Heron Point and Atlantic Dunes. Palmetto Dunes also has three challenging courses within the resort which are open for public play. Locals enjoy playing on Oyster Reef and Dolphin Head located in the Hilton Head Plantation on the north end of the island, or one of the two courses in Palmetto Hall, also on the north end near the airport or one of the two courses in Port Royal Plantation located Mid Island.

Miniature Golf

There aren't quite as many miniature golf courses as full sized courses, but they are plentiful. All accessible along Hwy 278, William Hilton Parkway they range from mid-Island to the North end.
