Flight
Austin–Bergstrom International (AUS)
Shiner sits between three major Texas cities: Austin, San Antonio and Houston. For those flying in, the airport in Austin (AUS) is about an hour away and likely the best balance of flight availability and drive time. San Antonio (SAT) offers more flight choices but a longer drive, as do HOU and IAH in Houston. Victoria Regional Airport (VCT) is the closest but it is a small airport, so flight and rental car options may be limited.

Keep in mind that Shiner is a town of 2,000 residents. Rideshare/taxis/Uber/Lyft are scarcely available.

Charming and comfortable, this small town motel is about 3 miles from the Gipson home and half a mile from the brewery.

There are all types of AirBnb and VRBO listings in and around Shiner. Keep in mind when searching for accommodations that Shiner is just 20 minutes from Gonzalez, Luling, Lockhart, Flatonia, or Hallettsville, and 30 minutes from Victoria.
