Bride
Noelle is so happy to be marrying her best friend and favorite human. Known by her friends as Ellie, she can often be found sewing, crafting, reading, and living the thrilling life of an 80-year-old woman. She also enjoys singing and performing in local productions. Noelle is a school librarian, and students already know her as "Mrs. Iconis." She also teaches voice lessons and has run several performing groups on Long Island. You will be able to hear some of her talented students perform at the wedding! Noelle could not have dreamt of finding a more loving, patient, kind and supportive partner. She is grateful to be surrounded by family and friends - both old and new - to celebrate this special day.
Groom
Phil, or Philip as his mother and soon-to-be-bride refer to him, is so incredibly thrilled to be marrying the best person he knows. He has truly met his perfect match in Noelle: Someone who loves theatre, Disney, and a well-crafted dirty martini with blue cheese olives. ALWAYS with blue cheese olives. Phil is a social studies/special education high school teacher, though middle school will always have his heart. His favorite Disney movies growing up were Sleeping Beauty and the Sword in the Stone, though he's now more of a Beauty & The Beast kind of guy. His favorite musical is Cabaret, having seen the revival 16 times when he was in college. His favorite movie is Robert Altman's Nashville, though he watches ET more, and the channel will never be changed if The Golden Girls is on. A December wedding is so fitting for Noelle & Phil, as they both share a love of Christmas. Phil cannot wait to celebrate this incredible day with all his family and friends. But most of all, he cannot wait to marry his favorite person. *Please note Phil has made a conscious effort not to include an "FDR date that will live in infamy speech" reference in his bio. Even though that speech was given on the day he is getting married. The wedding is literally on the 83rd anniversary of that speech. But Phil knows not everyone is a history buff, so he's not going to mention it. Not even once. Nope. No mention of the date. (but he secretly thinks it's really cool)
Man of Honor
Jeff is Noelle's brother. When not teasing his sister, he can be found jamming out to John Mayer. If forced to watch a musical, he will tolerate a performance of Spamalot. His favorite Disney movie is Toy Story.
Man of Honor
Nick is Noelle's brother. His favorite musician is I'm Croce and his favorite musical is Les Miserables. Nick's favorite Disney movie is The Lion King and is favorite ride is Small World. *Fun Fact: Small World is the ride which nearly got Nick banned from Disney World for life several years ago. Thankfully, he's still able to step on Disney property but he will be the first person to tell you NOT to exit the boat during the ride.
Man of Honor
Chis is Noelle's brother. One of Noelle's favorite childhood memories include Chris starring in episodes of "Chris' World." His favorite band is CHAI and his favorite Disney movie is The Little Mermaid.
Best Man
Joe and Phil shared a womb (but not at the same time). Joe's favorite band is The Riverbottom Nightmare Band. When it comes to musicals, Joe's go-to playlist includes Cabaret, Follies, Hedwig, anything by Jonathan Larson, Howard Ashman, Carol Hall, Bill Finn, and we'll need to stop listing people as our word count has nearly been reached. His favorite Disney attraction is the Country Bear Jamboree.
Team Bride
Amanda and Noelle met when performing in middle school and their friendship grew as they performed in numerous productions together, volunteering to perform at local nursing homes, and winning Villa Roma's Got Talent with a riveting duet of "That's Life."
Team Bride
Beth is Noelle's cousin. Growing up, Noelle fondly remembers Beth (attempting) to teach her how to juggle. Her favorite musical is Rent and Beth can quote 90% of any movie every made.
Team Groom
Brendan started as Phil's camper at Hofstra Summer Camp, where at the age of 10 he famously built his own set pieces as he belted out show tunes originally performed by women in their 40s and 50s. Often referred to by Phil as the most talented person he knows, Brendan is an incredible set, costume and prop designer. And while he did not request we tell you this, I'm sure he would love you to know he can hit the high G at the end of "A New Argentina". *Brendan didn't send us a response to the questions we asked. We're taking that lack of response as a promise to sew the entire bridal party muffs to keep them warm for our winter wedding. We're so grateful for his contribution.
Team Groom
Chris met Phil at summer camp, where Phil worked as a counselor. Phil eventually hired Chris as a choreographer for the camp and the continued to work together on various theatre productions throughout Long Island. Phil has often said that he only chooses to work with the best - and that is why he has asked Chris to join him on numerous projects. Chris' favorite musical is Cabaret and his favorite singer is Beyoncé. He loves the Disney movie Aladdin, though if given a chance to go for a ride would forgo the magic carpet and opt for Space Mountain.
Team Groom
Colleen met Phil while working in the theatre department of their school district. Apparently Colleen wasn't very warm to him initially, but she will happily let you know - that she got over it. As a musical director, she's appalled that the wedding party was asked what their favorite musicals are (or in her words, "this is just mean"). However, she did share that based on the score alone she'd choose Titanic though overall, she'll go with Pippin. Her favorite Disney ride is Carousel of Progress, "obviously." *Correction - Colleen was being sarcastic and is actually disgusted by the Carousel of Progress. "Rockin' Rollercoaster all the way." ***Colleen may be removed from the bridal party due to this comment. Please check back for updates on the situation.
Team Groom
Katie has known Phil since kindergarten and has remained a lifelong best friend. While listed as "Team Groom," Katie may be snatched at any moment to "Team Bride" as she has also become a treasured friend to Noelle. As Phil's longest reigning friend, the two of them have shared many adventures together, including running to every park in Disney World, catching beads at Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and hitting jackpots at casinos across the country. Her favorite musical is Waitress and there is no better person to successfully get you in the virtual queue of Guardians of the Galaxy in Disney World.
Team Groom
Jenna is Phil's cousin. If anyone was curious why Phil is losing his hair, it can be traced back to Jenna playing "hair salon" as a child, while Phil obliged to make his little cousin happy. Her favorite musical is Wicked and her favorite Disney movie is...get ready for it...Mulan!
Team Bride
Maralyn is Noelle's step-aunt, though more fondly known as Noelle's "Frozen Sister," as the two care about each other like Elsa and Anna. Her favorite Disney ride is Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind, and her favorite Disney movieSpider-Man No Way Home. She loves all Broadway shows, though she especially enjoys MJ the Musical.
Team Groom
Mark is Phil's cousin. His favorite musician is Quinn XCII and his favorite Disney movie is Lilo & Stitch. Mark holds the distinction of being the tallest member of the Iconis Social Club, which will make him easy to spot on the dance floor. And while he has lived in North Carolina for nearly a year, he has yet to pick up a southern accent. We all hope this changes real soon.
Team Groom
Meghan was a friend of a friend turned friend to both Phil and Noelle. She cannot possibly choose one favorite musical, but she does love Once On This Island (specifically the revival), Shucked, The Color Purple, Come From Away, Rent and Singing in the Rain. If given the chance to escape to Disney World, she would immediately run to Space Mountain.
Team Bride
Mike grew up in church with Noelle but really connected when performing countless shows together throughout high school. His favorite musical is Hairspray but there are MANY close seconds, and his favorite Disney movie is Finding Nemo.
Team Bride
Sky met Noelle when performing in a production of Little Women. The sisterhood continued far beyond the stage! Her favorite musical is Hair and her favorite Disney movie is the Incredibles. In fact, she'd like to propose a sequel "set in an alternate reality in which Syndrome successfully kidnaps Jack-Jack and makes him the baddest villain of all time."
Team Bride
Taylor is Noelle's cousin. She is best known for her performances in Spice Girls and NSYNC music videos (performed at childhood sleepovers). She loves country music, especially Luke Combs, and her favorite Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast.
Team Bride
Tatiana and Noelle became friends during the Disney College Program and have stayed connected through their love of Disney & theatre. Her favorite musicals include The Lion King, Heathers, and A Chorus Line. She loves the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, so GOTG Cosmic Rewind is naturally a favorite Disney ride, along with Flight of Passage.
Flower Girl - Team Bride
Claire met Noelle through a production of Hairspray. After seeing the show 8 times and taking on the nickname "Clairespray," her parents stayed in touch with Noelle after the show closed. Claire now knows Noelle as her "Aunt Ellie." Claire's favorite performer is Taylor Swift and her favorite musical is Phantom of the Opera. She loves Alice in Wonderland, though if she finds herself in Disney World she'll head to her favorite ride, Tower of Terror.
Flower Girl - Team Bride
Lexie is a spunky, talented, and thoughtful young lady who has been belting out show tunes as soon as she could speak! Though Lexie got to know Noelle through older sister Claire, the two have their own special relationship and recently performed in a production of Matilda together! Lexie's favorite musician is Michael Jackson (highly recommend asking her to moonwalk if you see her on the dance floor), and naturally her favorite musical is MJ the Musical. Her favorite Disney movie is Lily and Stitch and her favorite ride is Slinky Dog Dash.
Flower Girl - Team Groom
McKenna started life as the unofficial mascot of a drama program run by Phil and his friends Chris and Colleen (both Team Groom, the later MaKenna's mother). She took her role of announcing the school show very seriously. Always fierce, McKenna is one of the baddest ladies around and Phil & Noelle are so thrilled to have be part of our special day. McKenna's favorite performer is Carrie Underwood and she loved the musical Six. This little daredevil's favorite Disney ride is Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.
Entrance Reception Pianist - Team Groom
His hair lengths may vary, but one thing that has remained constant for many years is James Tanner Regan's all-around awesomeness. A skilled musician, a first-class debater, and a pretty fantastic chef, Tanner does it all and does it all well. His favorite musician is George Gershwin (clearly this young man has great taste in music, which is why we asked him to grace you all with his talents as you arrive at our wedding). His favorite Disney movies are Lion Kind and Soul, and his favorite Disney ride is Tower of Terror.
