General Reccommendations

If you are not renting a car, we recommend staying in Verona, rather than near the wedding venue, which is a 25 minute car ride from Verona. We will be hosting a Welcome Party in Verona the evening before the wedding and are planning to provide transportation from Verona to the wedding venue on the wedding day. We recommend staying in the Citadella area of Verona (shown in the picture above). Staying within a 10 minute walk north of the Porta Nuova train station is a good rule of thumb.

Vacation Rentals

There are many rental options through Airbnb/VRBO in and around the Verona city center. We would highly suggest exploring these options as they may offer more flexibility with check-in/check-out times and depending on your preferences, can be more cost-effective than hotel bookings. We recommend staying in or north of the Citadella area if you choose to stay within the city.

Hotel Indigo Verona

This 4-star hotel is also situated in the heart of Verona's Citadella area. About a 10-minute walk to both the Verona Arena as well as the train station, this hotel is in a prime location if you are looking to explore the city. The hotel is part of the IHG Hotels & Resorts Group so this may be a great option if you are looking to use some IHG points.

Villa Balis Crema

Villa Balis Crema is located in the Verona countryside less than 20 minutes outside of the Verona city center and less than 10 minutes from the wedding venue. There is a restaurant on the villa grounds as well as several vineyards nearby that offer tours and tastings.
