Casa di Giulietta (The House of Juliette)
Constructed in the 13th century, this home served as the inspiration for William Shakespeare's infamous play 'Romeo and Juliet'. It is one of the most visited sites in the city of Verona. Admission to the courtyard is free, but if you choose to enter the house and tour the museum, you will need to buy a ticket online in advance.
Castel San Pietro
Castel San Pietro sits atop Saint Peter's Hill, overlooking the entire city of Verona. This historic site provides one of the most beautiful panoramic views of Verona. While the inside of the castle is not open to the public, the grounds can still be reached on foot or by funicular. The funicular ride takes less than 5 minutes to reach the top of the hill and costs €3 round trip. Funicular tickets can be purchased at the website below or at the ticket office at the base of the hill.
Arena di Verona
The Verona Arena is a Roman amphitheater built in 30A.D. Older than the Roman Colosseum, the arena is still in use and serves as a live venue for many opera productions as well as the host venue of the 2026 Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony.
