Because we felt like we had to list a non-food and drink activity
Quintessential historic downtown Raleigh bar, formerly the site of the namesake newspaper
One of our favorite Raleigh breweries around the corner from our old apartment in Raleigh. Great beer and indoor and outdoor space!
When it opened, it was the world's largest beer garden! It still features over 350 distinct taps and has extensive NC and international beer lists.
Not technically in Raleigh, but a great brewery in our hometown of Cary. Worth the drive if you're a beer lover, especially for sours!
Great coffee and café breakfast on NC State's campus
Raleigh Times, but for coffee and/or breakfast!
Awesome spot for biscuits and donuts. A frequent quick breakfast stop when we lived in Raleigh!
Awesome NC biscuit chain (can you tell we miss NC biscuits?). Highly recommend for brunch!
Awesome Southern brunch if you need a post-wedding pick me up on Sunday
Needs no introduction. If you've never had it, please don't hesitate to enjoy this important southern cultural experience.
This spot is under the same ownership as Young Hearts Distilling. It's an awesome microbrewery and pizza and the site of our first date night after we moved in together in Raleigh!
A favorite "fancy" pizza place of ours when we lived in Raleigh. Also the location of Devan and Danielle's infamous Fantastic Lady Day, where they discussed their future husbands at length.
Great local burger chain
The location for many a date night when we lived in Raleigh. Definitely get the queso.
Had to throw in a sushi place! Great sushi in the adorable city market area.
Modern Lebanese food
Truly the best Indian food and so worth it if you're up for a little drive
Fantastic Italian food in a cute, airy setting
A brewery...but also a book shop, flower shop, and delicious Chinese restaurant that offers dim sum. Named one of the 10 Coolest Places to Eat in the World in 2018 by Forbes and one of Bon Appetit's 10 Best New Restaurants in America. Also a 2018 James Beard Award semi-finalist. It definitely lives up to the hype! Recommend reservations in advance if you're hoping to check it out during the weekend.
So fun to do the self-guided tour and enjoy some great chocolate
No description needed, just download the Krispy Kreme app so you can know when the "hot now" light comes on.
Danielle worked at the High House location in high school, where she ate many a "concrete" (similar to a Dairy Queen Blizzard). Ryan, if you're reading this, just don't, k?
