The Wedding Website of Nithya Thangaraj and Matthew Lee
We are so excited to celebrate our wedding in beautiful Bali with you! Below are some of our favorite spots in the area. Check back here closer to the wedding for recommended travel companies to make your trip as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

Uluwatu – Cliffs & Surf

This is where we'll have our wedding! We recommend exploring more around the area before heading to other areas of Bali. ~ Uluwatu Temple: Perched on dramatic cliffs overlooking the ocean, this is one of Bali’s most stunning temples. ~ Padang Padang Beach: Popular with surfers and beach lovers, this beach offers crystal-clear water and scenic rock formations. ~ Catch a Traditional Kecak Dance at Sunset: Enjoy a mesmerizing performance at Uluwatu Temple as the sun sets over the ocean. ~ Dinner at Jimbaran Bay: Savor fresh seafood on the beach while watching the waves roll in.

Canggu – Laid-back Vibes

Explore Bali's Brooklyn! ~ Canggu Beach: A great place for surfing or relaxing in a more laid-back environment. ~ Tanah Lot Temple: Visit Bali’s famous sea temple, especially beautiful at sunset. ~ Canggu’s Cafes & Street Art: Explore the trendy cafes and street art scene around Batu Bolong. ~ Beach Club Evening: Chill out at The Lawn or Finns Beach Club for dinner, drinks, and music.

Ubud – Culture & Nature

~ Tegallalang Rice Terraces: Start your adventure by exploring Bali’s iconic rice terraces. Perfect for morning walks and photo ops. ~ Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary: A walk through this lush forest, where you can see playful monkeys and ancient temples. ~ Ubud Art Market: Immerse yourself in Balinese culture with traditional handicrafts, art, and souvenirs. ~ Tirta Empul Temple: A beautiful water temple famous for its holy spring water where locals go for purification rituals.

Ubud & Surroundings

~ Mount Batur Sunrise Trek: For adventure lovers, take an early morning hike up Mount Batur for an unforgettable sunrise view over Bali. ~ Tegenungan Waterfall: Cool off in one of Bali's stunning waterfalls, located just outside of Ubud. ~ Campuhan Ridge Walk: Enjoy an easy, scenic trek offering sweeping views of the Balinese countryside. ~ Balinese Cooking Class: Experience Bali’s rich culinary culture with a hands-on cooking class in the afternoon.

Seminyak – Beaches & Shopping

~ Seminyak Beach: Spend the day relaxing on the golden sands or learning to surf in one of Bali’s trendiest beach towns. ~ Petitenget Temple: Visit this ancient temple near the beach for a taste of Bali’s spiritual history. ~ Shopping & Cafes: Explore Seminyak’s chic boutiques and trendy cafes. ~ Sunset at Ku De Ta or Potato Head Beach Club: Enjoy a beautiful sunset at one of Bali’s iconic beach clubs with amazing food, drinks, and ocean views.

Nusa Penida – Island Adventure

~ Day Trip to Nusa Penida: Hop on a boat for a day trip to Nusa Penida Island. Visit the breathtaking Kelingking Beach, Broken Beach, and Angel’s Billabong. ~ Snorkeling at Crystal Bay: Discover Bali’s vibrant marine life, including manta rays if you're lucky!

Relaxation & Wellness

~ Spa Day: Unwind with a traditional Balinese massage or spa experience. There are many luxe options in Ubud, Seminyak, or Canggu. ~ Yoga Session: Bali is a hub for yoga, so join a class at a beautiful studio like Yoga Barn in Ubud or Desa Seni in Canggu. ~ Sunset Dinner Cruise: Cap off your trip with a sunset dinner cruise, soaking in the beauty of Bali from the water.
