Things To Do

We are so excited to share a few of our favorite places in the region with you.

Leif Erikson Trail

4198-4100 Northwest Leif Erikson Drive, Portland, OR 97210

This 13 mile trail weaves through Forest Park with modest elevation gain and is one of our favorite places to run! Keep an eye out for Nike-sponsored distance runners training. Keep in mind that we will be heading here for the wedding day trail run.

Domaine Drouhin Oregon

6750 Northeast Breyman Orchards Road, Dayton, OR 97114

A Burgundian family built this winery in the Willamette Valley in the 1980s. It is best to make a reservation but they also allow walk-ins if you want to order a glass of wine (vs. a tasting which requires a reservation).

Beaux Frères

15155 Northeast North Valley Road, Newberg, OR 97132

Voted the best Pinot in the world, Beaux Freres is one of our favorite spots in the Willamette Valley. The tasting room is in a former pig barn which has been converted into a Pacific Northwest tasting room. Be sure to bring jackets (even in the summer) as it can be cold inside. You also need a reservation.

Amaterra Winery

8150 Southwest Swede Hill Drive, Portland, OR 97225

For those that want to wine taste but prefer to stay local to Portland, this is a "new" winery built over the past few years that has delicious food, great wine and great views. This spot is best for lunch or dinner. The ideal time to go is at sunset. Reservations are recommended and because they are members only, they will require you buy a "one time admission" to eat/drink there.

Portland Japanese Garden

611 Southwest Kingston Avenue, Portland, OR 97205

Sequitur

14865 Northeast North Valley Road, Newberg, OR 97132

The founder of Beaux Frères sold the business and then started Sequitur as a retirement project. We LOVE it here. The tasting only has 4 tables and for that reason a reservation is required.

Phuket Cafe

1818 Northwest 23rd Place, Portland, OR 97210

Fun, vibrant Thai spot started by a prolific Portland restauranteur. We recommend the fried chicken and cocktails.

Cannon Beach

Cannon Beach, OR

Quaint beach town on the Oregon Coast that has great seafood and breweries. Known for Haystack Rock which made an appearance in the movie, Goonies.

Ken's Artisan Pizza

304 Southeast 28th Avenue, Portland, OR 97214

Artisan pizza restaurant known for wood-fired, sourdough pizzas.

Bamboo Sushi

380 1st Street, Lake Oswego, OR 97034

One of our favorite date night sports. Pro-tip - go early and grab a glass of Pinot at the Domaine Serene tasting room around the corner. We recommend the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice.

Timberline Lodge

27500 E Timberline Road, Government Camp, OR 97028

Timberline Lodge is a massive stone lodge and ski resort on Mt. Hood. We recommend going for a hike at nearby Trillium Lake or Mirror Lake and then treating yourself to lunch and a beer at Timberline. Timberline is infamous for being featured in The Shining.

pFriem Family Brewers

707 Portway Avenue, Hood River, OR 97031

Pfriem has some of our favorite beer in Oregon. Their Hood River (wind surfing capital of the country) tasting room is near the Columbia River. Be sure to give yourself ample time as the wait can be quite long.

Serratto Restaurant and Bar

2112 Northwest Kearney Street, Portland, OR 97210

Fantino

2314 Southeast Division Street, Portland, OR 97202

Mediterranean Exploration Company

333 Northwest 13th Avenue, Portland, OR 97209
