Wedding Party

VIPs

Kerri Kaszas

Maid of Honor

There's never a dull moment with Kerri & Nikki — at least in their own minds! No matter what they're up to, they keep the energy high with unmatched silliness and laughter. The two met at the infamous Cactus Club Cafe where they worked together for a few years. Kerri, new to Toronto at the time, needed friends, so she settled for Nikki. Since then, they have played on volleyball and softball teams together, gone on all kinds of wholesome adventures, and of course, let's not forget about their annual “Kernikmas” Christmas traditions, which include bar hopping in a two-man ugly Christmas sweater. At the wedding, you can expect to see Kerri singing the lyrics to every Lizzo and ABBA song, balling her eyes out, and trying to convince anyone who will take it to do a pickleback shot!

Camila Aparicio

Bridesmaid

Camila, the stunning, spicy, Argentinian, loca babe. Cami and Nikki have their exes to thank for their long-lasting friendship. The two met at prom over twelve years ago, where they discovered that they would be attending the same university. Even though they weren't in the same program, they got to know each other very well on their two-hour commute to school every day as they gossiped and laughed way too loud on the subway. Every year Camila and Nikki celebrated their birthdays together since they are only two days apart! Throughout the years, Cami & Nikki became travel buddies and took some of the best trips of their lives together — just two little idiots roaming the streets of Cuba and Barcelona, making bad decisions and unforgettable memories. They have been by each other's side through so much and the distance hasn’t come between them in the slightest.

Cyan Jean-Baptiste

Bridesmaid

Cyan is Nikki's oldest friendship! They met in middle school and became close when the early French immersion kids combined classes with the late Frenchies. Cy and Nikki bonded throughout high school and were notorious for crashing the english kids’ parties. Their friendship faced a test when Nikki switched high schools and then Cyan went to university in the States, but the distance only strengthened their bond. Whenever Cy visited home, they would hit up the bars and restaurants downtown Toronto. Some might say 'trouble' is a good way to describe them together! Now, once again separated by distance, Cyan has a beautiful family and lives in Cabo. Although it's been a few years since they've seen each other in person, Cyan and Nikki have maintained their connection and still consider each other to be best of friends.

Brittany Fernandez

Bridesmaid

Brittany is one of the most friendly and personable people you will ever meet, always willing to do anything for anyone, and will quickly become your bestfriend. Britt and Nikki met through Camila shortly after high school, and the three of them were pretty much inseparable for years! From girls' nights in, to going out for drinks and dancing (featuring Nikki’s terrible dance moves), to working at summer camp together, to COVID video workouts, Brittany and Nikki share countless memories. After Nikki moved to San Diego, Brittany was the first of Nikki's loved ones to make the trip out to see her, which meant a lot to her. Despite juggling a full-time job, multiple side hustles, and seemingly attending weddings every weekend (so popular), Britt makes a tremendous effort to stay in touch with Nikki regularly. This effort has made Nikki's move much less challenging over the years.

Nicole Stevenson

Bridesmaid

Nicole and Nikki's friendship began at Cactus Club Cafe, where they worked together over a few years. Nicole is extremely thoughtful, reliable, and a true girls' girl. She may come off as quiet but once she’s comfortable she really comes out of her shell, as Nick and Nikki saw last summer when she made it out to visit! Nicole has been there for Nikki at several important moments in her life when she needed it most. While both Nicole and Nikki struggle with keeping up long-distance communication, the moment they're back together, it's as if no time has passed. Nikki has learned a lot from Nicole, from professionalism and being career-driven woman, to candle making, and being excited about trying new foods and exploring vegan options!

Nicole Bailey

Bridesmaid

Nicole is the type of girl friend Nikki was hoping to find when she picked up her entire life and moved to a different country. This became evident in Las Vegas last year when Nick & Nikki got married for real. Even though it was so last minute, Nicole went out of her way to make sure Nikki felt special on her big day — she’s also their official witness! Nicole and Nikki met through their husbands, with whom they spend most of their time all together. However, they have also successfully built a relationship of their own. From coffee dates, to beauty appointments, to hikes, and picking out Nikki’s wedding dress, Nicole has been there for Nikki so much over the past few years, especially during the difficult times with immigration.

Jon Wechter

Best Man

It’s rare to meet someone, dislike them and then become best friends. Jon and I ran in similar circles and all it took was a long ass night and a bunch of booze in order to see through the veil and hit it off. Just when we thought that we didn’t need a true friend, we found one in each other. His unwavering support and friendship has become more than anyone could ask and his educated, yet retarded opinion still holds reason that most should follow. When the task of searching the Mexican Jungle to look for Nikki came about, he simply asked for the packing list. This is why Mr. Jon Wechter is at my side as my best man.

Zach Donels

Groomsman

Born into a family of Air Force veterans, I first became friends with Zach’s parents whilst living in Colorado while he was still eating lunchables and playing tether ball. Years later I got out of the Army and moved back to San Diego around the same time Zach moved out to attend college. Living next door to each other in Ocean Beach, we quickly became friends while I was playing double agent for his parents in order to keep an eye on him. Over the years, we have worked together on multiple projects and became close friends. He's the brother I never had and the one I truly value. I love the kid dearly and so does everyone else.

Ian Urtnowski

Groomsman

There is no one in the world that I can get so incredibly creative with and make something epic out of it. He has brought me into his tribe and I now find myself surrounded by such an incredible family that I truly value . When we were looking to buy a house and move, Ian was a large influence on our purchase for so many reasons. I value this man in his entirety and covet the friendship we share. My desire to raise hell and chase swell with Ian will continue till we're old and salty. URT URT!

Craig Stout

Groomsman

Craig and I first met in 2006 on our first deployment to Ramadi Iraq. Times were incredibly tough and the bonds built could not be stronger. There is a special type of camaraderie you make with someone during times of war. Grabbing ass, crying, dodging bullets and handing out naps. Craig got out of the Army shortly after our return and we always found ourselves hanging out together every time I was back in Arizona. There are 3 people in this world that know everything about me and has seen the best and the worst. I’m honored to have him stand by my side and couldn’t be more thankful for his unwavering friendship.

Jon McManus

Groomsman

Jmac as most people know him is one of my closest and oldest friends. The proud Minnesotan has a memory fit for Jeopardy and rivals that of an elephant. He can also drink anyone I know under the table and still maintain a level of composure seen only at parent teacher conferences. Jmac and I fought side by side in Ramadi and later on during our second tour where we became 2 out of the 3 most likely to get demoted upon returning home. There is no one else I know that has maintained contact with more brothers in arms than John. It’s that devotion to friendship that has allowed us to stay in contact for 19 years.

Matt Bailey

Groomsman

Stumbling upon each other in an Ocean Beach bar, we quickly became the best of friends and luckily neighbors. I owe the majority of my success to this man and his unwavering support and tolerance for me. His mentorship and compassion helped me in the toughest of times when I was lost. He's the word of reason I need often and someone I would go to prison for. I can't speak more highly of a gentleman and I'm honored to call him a homie.
