First meeting each other was beyond our expectations. Having no preconceived notions, we had no idea just how well we were going to get a long. It took the first night and 5 hours in a draining hot tub to figure out that there was much more there for us to explore. Safely assumed that Vegas was going to stay in Vegas, we couldn’t help but book flights shortly after in order to visit one another and pursue what we might think a perfect match. Little did we both know that COVID was on the very near horizon. Nikki came to visit San Diego and fell in love with the beach life and apparently Palm Trees. Showing her around is probably one of the best memories we both share. Nick was mid air when Canada shut down the border to American’s, yet luckily he was able to come in and see Toronto in a pure historic state of emptiness. We spent the next month getting to know one another, watching movies, funding uber eats and truly building a bond that solidified our desire to make our relationship work and figure out, if deep down, it really was meant to be. We ended up having to bounce around throughout all of North America, splitting time between Mexico, Canada and the U.S. in order to ensure we stayed within the laws of immigration. With this, Nikki grew more than she could have imagined and Nick focused on his career with the hope and desire of this very day on the horizon. In 2022 we committed fully and purchased a forever home with the desire to start a family, start traditions and build our love even more.
