We haven't done it all, but here is a good list to get you started! (https://tinyurl.com/TripAdvisorTahoe)
If you love hiking, the area is beautiful. We recommend hiking up to Monkey Rock! True story, we did this hike after recovering from Covid and it was so hard for us (but only because of the vid). We stuck it out because it was so beautiful and we had such a fun Guide and group of other hikers that made it a fun experience. We ended the hike with other Hyatt guests and had a yummy lunch at Tunnel Creek Cafe. (Within walking distance of the trail.) We sure did work up an appetite! If we can do this hike after having Covid, so can you! (Minus the vid of course)
"Located at the start of the scenic East Shore Trail, Tunnel Creek Cafe Sits at the quiet edge of Incline Village and beautiful Lake Tahoe." This is the lunch spot we went to right after working up an appetite from completing the Monkey Rock Trail. Treat yourself to a drink and bite to eat with 8 rotating beer taps, stocked canned beer, cider, hard kombucha, cocktails, wine, and hard seltzers. They also serve coffee and breakfast besides lunch all week and a newly added dinner service on weekends (dinner requires a reservation).
We both think this place is delicious! It has an amazing moody atmosphere. It is a tad on the swankier side, but has great food and is on the beach. Don't forget to make a reservation (ask for a window seat)! Get there early to hang by the fire and order a drink as you step out to watch the waves. We have been here 2 separate times and everything we have tried is top notch!
We met in art school and love museums so when we stumbled upon this it seemed fitting to recommend. We have never been to this Art Museum in Reno, however, just found out our caterer for our wedding opened up a cafe inside. If you want to try Roundabout and all of the new culinary offerings prepared by Chef Colin Smith check out the Cafe. (Admission not required for cafe) Their pictures are mouth-watering and looks like they serve a Sunday Music brunch!
Noble Pie Pizza- Greasy pizza and some of the most amazing french fries around. Great Basin Brewing- Local brewery pub food. Burger Me- Handcrafted burgers any way you want them. It also offers meat-free and GF options. Ijji Noodle House- Amazing poke bowls and ramen. It's also connected to 1,2, Tea for bubble tea. Many chain restaurants are also nearby such as: BJ's Brewery, Texas Roadhouse, and more. Best local coffee/tea: Bibo Coffee Old World Coffee (This company works with a local distiller, 10torr, to make coffee liquor) And check out Doughboys Donuts for some great donuts.
Reno's Rum & Tropical Cocktail Bar Nikki took a girls trip to visit Alesia (one of her Bridesmaids) who lived in Reno at the time. The girls took her to some fun and interesting bars with well-thought-out designs. (Knowing she comes from a design background.) This one stood out to Nikki as she has always loved Hawaiian vibes. Their drinks are hand-crafted photographic cocktails and some have their monogram stamped into the ice. You can't go wrong with their delicious gorgeous cocktails in this fun and beautiful atmosphere. Are you more of a night owl? Come late, the night scene here is such a vibe.
Rum Sugar Lime- Tikki bar with large shareable cocktails (Shared above) Death and Taxes- Chic craft cocktails The Eddy- Fun outdoor bar with games and silent disco nights Press Start Arcade Bar- Arcade bar with nerdy-themed drinks The Glass Die- Board game bar with local draft beer
