We're getting married!

On a fateful day in 2019, we casually met through a mutual friend on the sun-kissed shores of Fort Lauderdale Beach. We instantly bonded over our shared stories of being born abroad—Nicoletta in Florence, Matias in Buenos Aires—and moving to the US at the age of 7. Matias revealed he had studied abroad in Florence, which felt serendipitous at the time. By the end of our first meeting, we were laughing and holding hands, feeling the first stirrings of something magical. In the months that followed, our love blossomed over a shared passion for deep conversations, nature and adventure. It wasn’t long before we started planning trips together. From hiking national parks across the US to visiting Costa Rica for the first time together in 2021. But our journey took a fateful turn in the ancient streets of Florence. On a crisp spring day in April 2023, we took a long walk to its highest point, and while overlooking the city, Matias got on one knee.
