As noted, on the "Travel" page, there is public transportation to get you to Manta. Reina del Camino bus service is a trusted way to travel between cities. You may purchase your bus ticket in advance, or at the bus station. If flying into Guayaquil airport, the bus terminal is 4 minutes away. If flying into Quito airport, the bus terminal is 30 minutes away. NOTE: Buy the "Ejecutivo" bus ticket. Do not purchase the "Semi Cama" ticket. HOWEVER, please share your flight information with Nicole & Jordan - they may have travel organized for your arrival & departure dates.
Yes. Both the airports in Guayaquil and Quito offer car rental services and have the information on their websites (linked in the "Travel/Viaje" tab). Additionally, you may rent a car in Manta. If you are planning on renting a car, you will need phone service to use navigation apps. See next FAQ.
Contact your phone provider: Most providers will offer travel plans or will charge you roaming fees. If you don't want to pay your provider, best practice is to leave your phone on Airplane Mode and connect to Wi-Fi when available. You may also look into purchasing an international SIM card in the airports, which will allow you to use your phone as normal. NOTE: There is free Wi-Fi available in the airport. Please connect to the Wi-Fi to let Nicole & Jordan know you've arrived safely and to coordinate travel. NOTE: Please download WhatsApp prior to traveling to make communication easier.
Ecuador's currency is the USD, so no need to worry about converting $$$. There are ATM's for you to withdraw cash, and depending on your bank there will be a charge to do so. While some places do accept credit card, it is best practice to always have some cash on hand.
