Killington experienced a flash flood and mudslide on July 8 which closed a portion of Route 4. When we drove up to Killington on Thursday, July 13, the Route 4 was accessible (though the roads are actively being repaired so there were a few spots where traffic went to a single lane). It only added about 20 minutes to our drive, so hopefully no more storms come through between now and Saturday. As of now 7/13, the Resort is still advising to avoid travel on Route 100 (through the Okemo/Ludlow/Plymouth area). Also please note that East Mountain Road is closed from the Route 4 intersection up to Roundabout Road. All condos from Highridge to the resort are accessible via Killington Road --> Upper East Mountain Road. Anyone who booked at the Sunrise Condos or any houses/units on the lower portion of East Mountain Road (VRBO, AirBnB, etc.), please contact your host since those condos are not currently accessible.

Our invites request you arrive at the K-1 base lodge to board the gondola at 4:30, and we ask all guests arrive no later than 5pm as the gondola takes ~13 minutes to reach the top of the mountain. We would prefer all guests be at the top before the bride and bridesmaids board the gondola, which will be at 5pm.
The ceremony will be outside the Peak Lodge and dinner and the reception will be inside the Peak Lodge. The Peak lodge sits on top of Killington at 4,241 feet so expect some amazing views! There will be grass/packed dirt between the gondola and the Peak Lodge/ceremony location, so some footwear may be easier to walk in than others (i.e. block heel may be the better choice over a stiletto). As we’re on the top of the mountain, it will likely get chilly as the night progresses so plan to bring a layer if you tend to get cold (especially for the gondola ride to the bottom at the end of the night, but there could be a breeze/wind up top too during the ceremony). The dinner and reception will be indoors. We’re really hoping the rain we’ve been getting gives us a reprieve on the 15th, but should it not, our ceremony will be moved into the Peak Lodge. To err on the safe side, we’re recommending guests bring an umbrella as the walk from the gondola to the lodge won’t be the best time if it’s raining.
Should it rain on wedding day, the ceremony will be moved inside the Peak Lodge, so you'll still be taking the gondola to the top of the mountain. We're recommending everyone bring an umbrella just to be safe given the forecast is constantly changing between sunshine and rain/thunderstorms.
Yes. The gondola will be spinning for the duration of the evening.
While we love the kids of all of our extended family and friends, the only kids who will be in attendance are our nieces and nephews. This was a difficult decision to make as we both have large families with cousins of varying ages and friends with children; we hope you understand.
For our nieces and nephews in attendance, the reception turns to 21+ following dinner. We expect dinner to end around 8pm. We want to thank our siblings for understanding and making plans to accommodate our request so we can celebrate with all of you!
Given the close proximity of the three hotels where we have blocks (all are less than 10 minutes from the base lodge), shuttle service will not be provided.
We’ll be asking family members (particularly those of you with larger vehicles) if they’d be willing to drive the bridal parties as the hotel doesn’t offer shuttle service in the summer. Transportation will be communicated at the rehearsal dinner.
Please reach out to Nicole and let her know if you haven’t already indicated it on your meal selection so we can have your meal prepared accordingly.
