Question

Will there be a shuttle to the church?

Answer

Unfortunately no. If you intend to go to the ceremony, we recommend driving or carpooling with someone to St. Patrick Cathedral. There will only be a shuttle that runs between the Hilton Garden Inn Mystic/Groton and Branford House. Please be advised for driving to the church: the Cathedral strongly suggests guests arrive early, and be seated no later than 1:45 pm to allow the ceremony to start on time. Since it is a school day and school dismisses at 1:50 pm, wedding guests may park on Broadway (the street the Cathedral is on), but will not be allowed to park on Perkins or in the lot behind the Cathedral because of after school programs.

Do I need to attend the wedding ceremony?

Answer

No! While we would love for you to join us at St. Patrick Cathedral, we acknowledge that timing may be difficult because our wedding is on a Friday. If you can only make the reception, that's fine! We still want to celebrate our day with you!

Will there be a shuttle to the reception?

Answer

Yes! We will have a school bus providing transportation between the Hilton Garden Inn Mystic/Groton and Branford House. The first trip will leave the hotel starting at 4:00 pm and will continue making trips between the hotel and Branford House until 5:15 pm. At the end of the night, the shuttle will begin making trips to take guests back to the hotel starting at 9:30 pm. It will continue running until all guests have left the venue.

Do I have to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Mystic/Groton to use the shuttle?

Answer

No! Feel free to use the shuttle to travel between Branford House and the Hilton Garden Inn even if you're not staying there overnight. While other hotels are in the area, we are only providing a shuttle to this hotel.

Is there parking at Branford House?

Answer

Yes! For those who wish to drive directly to Branford House, there will be onsite parking. When you arrive at UConn's Avery Point campus, just follow the signs for the Branford House and someone will direct you where to park.

Question

I'm inebriated, can I leave my car at Branford House?

Answer

Yes! Drinking and driving is always illegal. Guests who find themselves stuck between a rock and a hard place should not worry, you are allowed to leave your car at Branford House overnight. We ask that you pick up your car by noon on Saturday, 9/23/23. However, we strongly encourage planning ahead if you intend to drink.

Is there Lyft or Uber service at Branford House?

Answer

Sorta. We were told its spotty which is why we're providing a shuttle. If you intend to party, we recommend you stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Mystic/Groton and use the shuttle to get home safely.

I have food allergies to items listed on your menu, what should I do?

Answer

Can I bring a card/gift to the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We will have a card box on the piano near the main entrance to Branford House! You can also leave gifts there too!

Will there be a guest book to sign?

Answer

Yes. We will have a modern guest book for people to sign, which entails signing little hearts that we will later frame. The "guest book" will be located on the piano near the main entrance to Branford House.

Do I have to attend the BYOB after party?

Answer

No! It's super casual and meant to be a place to hang out after the wedding if you want to continue partying.

Will there be alcohol or food at the after party?

Answer

No! Please BYOB (Bring Your Own Booze) and BYOF (Bring Your Own Food).
