Things To Do

We are so excited to welcome you (or welcome you back!) to New Haven, a place that is so special to us and our relationship. Beyond our planned wedding events, here are some of our favorite spots to check out if you are looking for something to do, or something to eat!
Atticus Bookstore Cafe

Atticus Bookstore Cafe

1082 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT 06510

Atticus is one of our absolute favorite places!! Head to the downtown location on Chapel Street to check out their bookstore and cafe, or to their East Rock location on Orange Street for some fun market goods (and the same lovely selection of food, pastries, and drinks). Fun fact - the Chapel Street Bookstore and Cafe was the site of our first date, and the last place we stopped at on our move to Boston! :')

Yale University Art Gallery

Yale University Art Gallery

1111 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT 06510

We highly recommend spending some time at the Yale University Art Gallery (YUAG)! It's free to visit, right in the middle of downtown, and has an incredible selection of art. It is also beautiful to walk around in, and conveniently right across the street from Atticus!

Elena's on Orange

Elena's on Orange

831 Orange Street, New Haven, CT 06511

Elena's became a *staple* for us during our time living in East Rock. If you're looking for delicious, high-quality soft-serve, in a cozy neighborhood spot - this is it! Be sure to try out their special flavor or sundae of the week, and their signature chocolate dip (it is seriously incredible).

Yale Peabody Museum

Yale Peabody Museum

170 Whitney Avenue, New Haven, CT 06511

The newly renovated Peabody Museum of Natural History is an absolute stunner! We came here on our third date, and it has remained such a special spot for us. Their exhibits are top-notch!

East Rock Park

East Rock Park

41 cold spring street, New Haven, CT 06511

East Rock park is a stunning alcove of nature, right in New Haven! Enjoy a leisurely stroll through the park itself, and take the short hike up to the top for a beautiful view of the city!

One6Three

One6Three

163 Foster Street, New Haven, CT 06511

Our personal favorite New Haven pizza spot (I know, controversial), right by where we lived in East Rock. If you're looking for classic New Haven-style pizza, but with innovative toppings and fun combinations, this is your spot! Be sure to try the GOAT, our personal go-to.

Sterling Memorial Library

Sterling Memorial Library

120 High Street, New Haven, CT 06511

If you haven't been to Yale before, we definitely recommend popping into Sterling library! It is an iconic spot for all of us who have studied there, and the nave and large reading rooms are beautiful! While you're there, walk around Cross Campus and explore the Yale undergraduate campus.

Mẹcha Noodle Bar

Mẹcha Noodle Bar

201 Crown Street, New Haven, CT 06511

Our go-to spot for ramen, pho, and small plates. We have no idea how many times we have been here over the years!

Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library

Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library

121 Wall Street, New Haven, CT 06511

Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library is one of the most unique places to visit. The building is designed to only let in light through its thin marble walls, to preserve the very delicate books and manuscripts inside. The main entrance hall is open and free to visitors - it really is worth stepping inside if you haven't been!

CitySeed Wooster Square Farmers' Market

511 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT 06511

If you're looking for something to do on Saturday morning, check out the Farmer's Market in Wooster Square!
