Formal attire (pantsuits and long dresses for women, and suit and tie for men). While we will have heaters, we will be outside once the sun goes down so make sure you dress comfortably! In order to preserve the turf and golf course overall, no high heels or shoes that can dig into the turf, please.
Our ceremony will begin promptly at 5 p.m. Please plan to arrive with enough time to find your seat. We will have golf carts available to take guests from the parking lot to the ceremony.
Hilton Head has a VERY strict local noise ordinance policy which requires all events to end right at 10 p.m.
Due to the size of our venue, our invitation will denote if you should plan on bringing a date.
We love your kids, but thought you might like a night off. Our ceremony and reception are for adults only.

We have hired a wonderful photographer who will be creating an online photo album for us that we will be making available 3-4 months after the wedding and sharing the link with all guests to view and download. We ask that no photos be taken during our ceremony, but please feel free to take as many photos (with the flash turned off) during the reception.
Driving or flying, based on your preference! Hilton Head is situated in between Charleston and Savannah, and is a 4-6-hour drive from most southern cities. Savannah / Hilton Head International Airport is your best bet if you choose to fly, and is about a 40-minute drive to Hilton Head. There are many options for direct flights to / from eastern and Midwest cities, with connecting flights servicing SAV as well. We highly recommend renting a car at the airport or having a taxi / shuttle booked in advance. Visit our “Getting There” page for information on rental cars and ground transportation options.
We recommend staying on Palmetto Dunes and renting a villa / home or staying at the Omni, also inside the resort. Palmetto Dunes rental villas / homes require a 3-night minimum stay, and are offering 10% off when you use code: weddings23. The Omni is oceanfront and you can book 1 or 2-night stays here. You can visit: https://www.omnihotels.com/hotels/hilton-head/weddings/galonczyk-hays-wedding-02242023 to book your discounted room block rate, or simply call Omni Central Reservations at 1-800-843-6664 and ask for the group code 022423GALONCZYK. This room block rate is available until Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023. Both on-site options allow you to enjoy a gate pass and all the resort has to offer - not to mention you will also be incredibly close to the ceremony / reception. We are working out a shuttle for those staying inside Palmetto Dunes to get to and from the venue. Guests staying outside of Palmetto Dunes will have access to the resort on February 25 as the security gate will have our guest list. However, for guests that would like to check out Palmetto Dunes the rest of the wedding weekend, you will need to have an on-site guest call in a pass for you at the security gate in order to access. Only one villa / home can call in a pass for a specific guest.
What isn’t there to do?! Hilton Head truly offers something for everyone (cheesy yet true): > Hit the beach. Head to Burkes Beach or Coligny Beach Park for the best public beach access. Winter means lots of shells and driftwood. You can even bring your dog(s) to the beach during the winter time with no restrictions. > Rent bikes. Our absolute favorite HHI activity! Flat, paved trails connect the whole island with abundant wildlife along the way. Just remember: to bike to / inside Sea Pines (Harbour Town, South Beach, Lawton Stables, Stoney-Baynard Ruins and Sea Pines Forest Preserve), you’ll need a weekly gate pass and not a daily pass. > Head out on the open water. The HHI marinas host a variety of fishing charters, boat, kayak, paddle board and jet ski rentals. > Relive history. Bluffton, Savannah and Beaufort are all teeming with early American history and a short drive. > Golf with a killer view. Need we say more? > Eat and drink. So many amazing dining options.
