It started with a right swipe, followed by a first date at Hand & Hand where we lost at trivia but couldn’t stop talking - a spark right off the bat. I knew Matt felt the same since he asked me out on our next date not too long after we parted ways that evening. A family friend once told me that when a relationship is meant to be, it’s easy - there’s no guessing or questioning the other’s feelings, everything just falls into place. And that’s exactly how the start and continued progression of our relationship has felt. Seamless. Like we just fit into each other’s lives and knew it was meant to be from that first date. (That same feeling might not have been true for YP who took some time to come around before realizing that he now had double the attention, walks and treats!) From new jobs, to buying our first home and moving out to the ‘burbs, it’s been nothing short of an amazing 5+ years as we build our life together. It’s no surprise that Matt proposed on New Year’s Eve 2021 in this home that is so special to both of us. When we thought about where we wanted to tie the knot, we knew it had to be Hilton Head, another incredibly special home-away-from-home for us. We are so excited for this next step in our journey and the opportunity to celebrate with our loved ones.
