Set within a 13th-century Tuscan castle, our black tie wedding celebration is inspired by the romance and grandeur of the High Medieval period. We invite guests to lean into the magic of the setting with luxurious fabrics, bold colors, and timeless formalwear. Think modern elegance with a romantic, old-world spirit. This is the night to go all out. Note: parts of the grounds of the castle have gravel and grass. We recommend shoes that are comfortable on these surfaces, but wear whatever makes you feel the most confident and comfortable :)
We love your little ones, but our wedding events will be adults-only.
We've carefully outlined our guest list based on who we want to celebrate with, and cannot accommodate additional guests. Please only bring a plus one if your invitation includes one. Because formal invites won't be sent out until early 2027, please feel free to reach out to us in the meantime to confirm whether your invite will include a plus one.
Castello di Celsa is about a 30-minute drive from Siena. We will be providing transportation on the wedding day between the venue and some specific hotels/accommodations (TBD). We’ll personally be flying into Rome, renting a car, and driving to the venue. We recommend coordinating with other guests to share transportation when possible.
The easiest way to get around Tuscany is by car. Taxis are extremely difficult to come by if not booked months in advance (especially in September), rideshare apps don’t operate reliably, and trains can be unpredictable. Having your own transportation (car or driver) will make your experience in Tuscany much smoother.
For American travelers, you'll only need a valid passport to travel to Italy. If you are traveling from a different country, please check Italy's documentation requirements for your country.
For wedding events at Castello di Celsa, please note that parts of the grounds include gravel and grass. We recommend shoes that are comfortable on these surfaces, but above all, wear whatever makes you feel confident and comfortable.
We know that its a big ask to request that you all to travel out to Italy, book accommodations, rent cars, take time off of work, etc. for us, and we are so thankful for those of you willing to come out. Because of this, we do not expect gifts, but would love thoughtful cards from our guests. If you still wish to contribute a gift despite this, we will be sharing a small registry closer to our wedding date.
Ideally primarily outdoors, but this will depend on weather.
Please reach out to us directly if we haven't answered your questions here. Keep in mind that more details will be shared as we finalize our wedding details.
