Driving to Portland
An alternative to flying to PDX is driving! The drive through Southern Oregon is beautiful! From the Gilroy/Hollister area, it's about 11 hours to Timberline Lodge.
Rental Car
Car Rental
Renting a car is the best way to get from the airport to Timberline. Generally speaking, an AWD car is not necessary as all roads should be clear of snow in June. You can check the current road conditions and live road cameras at: https://tripcheck.com/

Uber or Lyft
If traveling within the Portland area before or after the wedding, Uber and Lyft are a good option for quick trips. However, do not plan to rely on rideshare to and from Timberline Lodge.

Travel Note
Weather
Our wedding will be hosted during the summer season on Mt. Hood. Alpine weather is variable during the early summer, however, you can still expect snow on the mountain with a possible wind chill. We suggest you wear comfortable walking shoes or boots for the travel from Timberline Lodge to Silcox Hut and pack your favorite coat! Inside the hut is warm and cozy, so feel free to switch to your dancing shoes! In the Portland Metro, it's summer time! You can expect 80 degree days with sunny-cloudy days. It's a wonderful time to visit Portland!
