Cortney & Nicholas

Wedding Party

Adam Garrison

Best Man

Adam and I have known each other since the second grade where we quickly became good friends and were both adopted into each other's families. Adam and I played travel baseball together growing up where he was on the mound and I was behind the plate. Somehow I convinced Adam to play soccer in high school where he was the center back and I played keeper. We were pretty much inseparable growing up as sports and extra curricular activities kept us on similar schedules. We did both the good and the bad together, but Adam always made sure to keep me out of trouble. He is one of the biggest reasons why I decided to pursue college soccer, which ultimately led me to Austin, TX. After graduating high school, he and I went our separate ways but have kept in contact for the last several years.

Rachel Linard

Maid of Honor

I’m so lucky to have been blessed with a sister like Rachel. We share endless memories together, too many laughs to count, have shed tears together, and took on life changes together. Growing up people have always confused the two of us and in college we were referred to as the sisters; wherever I was, she was and vice verse. Rachel and I laugh for no reason, have our own Linard sister inside jokes that no one else understands leaving us with confused looks on a regular basis. Rachel knows me better than anyone and as we have faced life together over the past 26 years, I’m fortunate to have her stand by my side on my wedding day.

Zack Martin

Groomsman

Zack is two years older than me and I am proud to call him my big (little) brother. Growing up, Zack and I were extremely competitive in all facets of life, which ultimately shaped me into the person that I am today. Whether he seems to think it or not, Zack was a big role model in my life. Zack's soccer skills sharpened mine, his intellect made me smarter, and his genuine traits helped me become a better man. Zack's wittiness kept me on my toes, which continues to happen today. I am extremely fortunate that I am this guy's little brother. Zack currently lives in Roswell, New Mexico where he works for a community bank headquartered in Artesia, NM (roughly 40 miles away). Surprise surprise that he and I both took after our father and became bankers.

Kelsey High

Bridesmaid

My beautiful cousin Kelsey is more like a sister to me than anything. This year she is a senior at Miami University, majoring in Manufacturing Engineering. Where has the time gone? I remember babysitting Kelsey over the summers. She'd have swim practice in the morning and afternoons. During the day when asked what she wanted to do, naturally her response was always the pool. I swear the girl is a fish! That mentality has stuck with her her whole life. She loves what she loves and knows what she wants. I’m so proud of her accomplishments and her determination to be the best on land or in the water! I admire her for her positive outlook on life and her ability to put a smile on anyone’s face. Couldn’t imagine my wedding day without her standing up there with me as Nick and I say “I Do!”

Jake Martin

Groomsman

As I am extremely thankful for being Zack's little brother, I am equally as grateful that Jake is my little brother. Jake is the youngest of three boys making him headstrong and extremely daring. This kid has bungee jumped on the world's longest bungee rope, studied abroad in Spain, and will soon become a pilot in the United States Air Force. He may not know it, but Jake has taught me to take risks. At times I can be a reserved individual and Jake has shown me that being in uncomfortable situations is extremely important in self-development. Jake is an extremely bright young man who graduated from high school and college in a total of seven years. He just recently graduated from Texas A&M University and commissioned into the Air Force as a Second Lieutenant.

Michelle Hoffman

Bridesmaid

I met Michelle in the 6th grade, almost 16 years ago!! I can’t believe it’s been that long ago, but so happy we have so many great years under our belts. Michelle knew me during my awkward days in middle school (which let’s be honest I’m still awkward, but I own it more so today). Her and I grew up together and matured together. Even though we went to different schools in college, when we got back together it was like no time had passed. Since college we both have moved around and I, a permanent move to Texas. With all of life’s changes, the one thing that remains constant is our friendship. So happy to have one of my best friends by my side on my big day!

Ray Obena

Groomsman

Ray and I went to college together at Concordia. We met through the soccer team and I soon found out that he was my next door neighbor in the dorms. It took some time for Ray and I to warm up to each other as he and I are both reserved. The second semester of our Freshman year was when we became really good buddies and began to hang out all the time. After that year, Ray, Niels, Jordan and I decided to get an apartment together and being the broke college kids that we were, Ray and I roomed in the same room. We were the only roommates that stayed in Austin over the summers which was when we made some of my favorite college memories. Throughout college, Ray and I were nearly inseparable and he was one of the biggest reasons why I decided to stay and complete my education in Austin.

Carly Dukart

Bridesmaid

Carly and I met our sophomore year at The Ohio State University when I joined Tri-Delta. We became instant friends and before I knew it she was my big and I her little. Carly and I had a big/little relationship that most people envied. We did everything together. Spent many hours studying together at the library 'til we couldn't keep our eyes open any longer, dressed up for themed gatherings and date parties, jumped in mirror lake and immediately regretted our decision, and shared so many more memories together. My years in college wouldn't have been the same without Carly. Can't wait to celebrate my wedding day with her by my side!

Niels Paetow

Groomsman

Niels ("Kneels") was one of the first people I met at Concordia as he was my roommate my Freshman year. After a few weeks of getting to know each other, Niels finally told me that he was scared to be my roommate after stalking me on Facebook. He saw some of the ridiculous selfies and that I was a keeper, which we all know labels you as a crazy soccer player. Niels showed me a very positive side of life and helped me get through my homesick and other down times. In between classes, he and I would play Mario Kart on the Nintendo Wii which led to many arguments about who was the best. I'll admit that he was pretty dang good. With his Alabama accent and goofy personality, Niels made my college career extremely enjoyable. Through the ups and downs he was always there for me.

Gina Manacci

Bridesmaid

Gina and I became Tridelta sorority sisters roughly 7 years ago. Over time we became best of friends. We were in the same engineering major and I looked up to Gina a lot. Juggling Greek life and an Engineering major isn’t easy, but Gina made it seem second nature. She helped me to understand the politics of our major and encouraged me when it got tough. I honestly don’t think I’d be where I am today without her. Not only is she smart, she loves “All The Things!” What do I mean? Essentially anything one can celebrate, be girly, craft, or food related haha! So happy to have Gina in my wedding!

Matt Butler

Groomsman

Another person I met through Concordia University's Men's Soccer Program was Matt aka Butter, Buttnug, Buttkiss, and many many more. Matt was the fit kid that every soccer player wanted to emulate. The kid could run for days and was always one of the most athletic kids on the field. Even during some late nights out, Matt would decide to become a runner. It was tough to keep up with him sometimes. Matt and I graduated together and both landed jobs in Dallas. I did not know that he moved to Dallas, but Ray quickly informed me of this. Matt and his family took me in and soon invited me to all of their family gatherings. We were sidekicks during our first year in Dallas, and he was one of the links to me meeting Cortney. I'm sure some stories will soon be told.

Jenna Hines

Bridesmaid

The first day I met Jenna was at Sandbar in Deep Ellum, TX. Rachel and I were visiting Texas for the very first time when we met. We hung out on the courts and the crew went out later that night. Rachel and I immediately loved Jenna! She has a way of making you feel so special and cared for. Rachel and I were referred to as Jenna's new Ohio friends and that she couldn't wait for us to officially move here to hang out all the time. All the time is right! I have not lived in Texas very long, but I know that moving here was a blessing. I've met some of the best people I will ever meet and Jenna is hands down one of them. She will drop anything for those she cares about, always smiling and will always be that person who gets a party started!

Rohan Gothwal

Groomsman

Rohan is a great friend of mine that I met in the Fall of 2017. I met him through Cortney as he was a friend of a friend and she ultimately ended up landing him a job with Chase in Dallas. Our first introduction was not a pleasant experience as I was quite inebriated and I soon began arguing with him about why I believe big banks are terrible. The next morning I quickly realized what a good guy he was because when I apologized he was quick to say that, for some odd reason, he liked me and that he wanted to go golfing with me. Rohan is one of the most selfless individuals that I have ever met as he treats each and every person he meets with the utmost respect. Although we have not known each other all that long, I feel like Rohan and I have been great friends for a lot longer.

Liv Cortes

Bridesmaid

When I moved to Dallas my biggest worry was not meeting good people. How was I going to meet them? When? Apparently apartment computer labs is the place haha! Liv and I were having printing issues and while trying to figure out the problem we exchanged numbers and became best of friends! Rachel and I would make weekly walks down the hall to watch Bachelor/Bachelorette episodes at Liv's, ran back and forth between apartments to trade clothes to wear for our nights out, and wined and dined at State & Allen too many times to count. Liv is one of the main reasons my 2 years in Dallas has been some of the best years of my life. She taught me to always be positive, try fun new foods, and that it's always a great day to wear an open back and give a good shimmy!

Daniel Braune

Groomsman

Daniel is my first cousin and is like another brother of ours that Zack, Jake and I looked forward to spending time with. Almost every summer my dad's side of the family would go to ICBA New Mexico (Bankers Convention). The most memorable was when we were out playing on the golf course when Daniel decided to drop his drawers and use the restroom. This was topped off by his younger sister pulling the fire alarm and waking up the older bankers who were in the middle of their afternoon slumber. Daniel is a hell of a shot with any type of weapon and can sure sell a pig. He is an extremely hardworking and patient young man which you have to be when you're the middle child with an older and younger sister. He is currently attending Texas A&M University and is a member of the Corps of Cadets.

Angie Dundon

Bridesmaid

Shortly after graduating from Ohio State, I was at a party Cory Yaceczko was throwing. Cory found out I worked at JPMorgan Chase and before I knew it he was introducing me to Angie. We stood there rather awkwardly, both not ready for the abrupt introduction. We suddenly started seeing one another in the hallways at work all the time and later saw each other out in the short north all the time. All signs were pointing to being friends. Angie is one of the sweetest people I've ever known. I'm so thankful that Cory introduced us that day and wish I could've met her sooner. Her and I realized how much we had in common and we've continued to be great friends despite our recent moves. Still hoping she changes her mind to leave Chicago for Texas! Can't wait to have her by my side on the big day!
