Our first date was at Whiskey's in the Back Bay (RIP) to play bar trivia. We ended up coming in third place, but really it was Nick who came in third, since Bri's only contribution was on a question about the band One Direction. The first date went well, and soon a second date was planned, this time to an improv comedy show after Bri's first day at her new job at Wayfair. She was far more excited about the second date than her first day of work. A few more dates followed, but it was when Bri suggested an outing to a brewery and Nick followed up with the exact brewery that Bri was thinking, Treehouse Brewing, and he then later suggested getting lunch at the exact spot Bri had in mind, that really sealed the deal.

Nick asked Bri to marry him in the most fitting way - on a hike in the White Mountains of NH. The day started as a typical weekend morning for the two of us, waking up at 5am and driving up I93 to NH. The plan was to hike Cannon Mountain, but a ranger informed us that the wind gusts at the summit were over 60mph. We opted to hike to Lonesome Lake, instead. Once we came up on the lake, Nick took a quick bathroom and ring prep break, unbeknownst to Bri. When he returned he had Bri face the lake for some photos and when she turned around to face him, he was down on one knee with the most gorgeous emerald ring and asked her to marry him. Through tears and laughs, Bri said yes. We then decided that we were both far too excited to do any more hiking, and made our way back to celebrate at one of our other favorite breweries, Woodstock Inn Brewery.
