We are requesting an unplugged ceremony and ask for our loved ones to refrain from taking photos during the actual ceremony. However, we encourage our guests to post pictures taken throughout the evening to their social media with our only request that you tag us so that we can reminisce in the night with each of you. Our wedding hashtag is #SmittenWithSmith and we would love for you to use this so that we can keep track of all of your pictures!
Both! The ceremony will be held outside on the golf course, and the cocktail hour and reception will be held indoors in the fireside reception hall. However, the location of the reception may be subject to change because of COVID restrictions but it will still be held at the Majestic Oaks Golf Course. As we get information we will be sure to keep all of you updated, and rest assured we will not be downsizing our guest list.
The Bride and Groom will be providing two kegs of domestic beer for the evening that will be available free to the guests throughout the night until they are empty. A variety of other beer, wine, and cocktail options will be available for purchase at the bar that will be located right inside the fireside reception hall. They will gladly accept both cash and card.
Parking is free at the Majestic Oaks and their parking lot is large enough to accommodate all of our guests. The staff have also expressed that they understand the end of the night can be a little chaotic, so if you need to leave your vehicle overnight and retrieve it the next morning you are more than welcome to do so. We want all of our loved ones to make it back to their homes and hotels safe and sound so please do not hesitate to use this option and call an Uber or carpool.
Absolutely! As many of our loved ones with children will see on their invitations we have welcomed the entire family to come celebrate with us. We have also included a kid friendly entrée choice for dinner.
Minnesota weather at the end of June is generally warm and pleasant, however, expect some humidity. Rain showers are always a possibility and we do have some contingency plans in place if this occurs on our wedding day.
