There are several ways for guests to travel to Mexico and the Wedding Venue: 1. Fly into San Diego or Tijuana Guests may fly into San Diego International Airport or Tijuana International Airport. From either airport, you can arrange a car service, Uber, or taxi to take you to your hotel, Airbnb, or directly to the wedding venue in Rosarito. 2. Drive Yourself Across the Border Guests are welcome to drive their own vehicles across the U.S.–Mexico border and down the coast to Rosarito. If you plan to drive your personal car into Mexico, please note that U.S. insurance policies are typically not valid in Mexico. Recommended Mexican car insurance option: https://www.bajabound.com/ 3. Hire a Roundtrip Transportation Service You can also hire a roundtrip transportation service that will pick you up in San Diego, take you across the border to your hotel, Airbnb, or the venue, and return you to San Diego after your stay. TRANSPORTATION IN THE AREA 1. Uber - is available from the Tijuana airport to the coast, including rides to the venue or nearby hotels/Airbnbs. However, THERE IS NO UBER SERVICE WITHIN THE TOWN OF PRIMO TAPIA, so you CANNOT call an Uber to take you back to the airport or drive you to/from your hotel/Airbnb to the wedding venue. 2. Taxi - when you are ready to leave the property and return to your hotel or Airbnb, you can arrange a taxi. The venue staff can help contact local taxis, and if you are staying at a hotel, the hotel's front desk can assist with calling one. We recommend booking transportation in advance for a hassle-free experience. The recommended vendors (scroll to the bottom) offer round-trip shuttle services from San Diego to Baja and back. HOW IT WORKS: - Pickup: The driver can pick you up at the San Diego airport or another designated San Diego location. Discuss the best pickup spot directly with the vendor. - Drop-off: You’ll be taken safely across the border to your hotel, Airbnb, or wedding venue (Villa del Paraiso). - Return: At the end of the weekend, the driver will pick you up from your original drop-off point and safely return you to San Diego. You won’t need to leave the shuttle at the border. Typical Booking Steps (example): 1. Contact the vendor via WhatsApp and provide the following details: Your name; the bride and groom’s names, wedding date, and venue name (Villa del Paraiso); and the number of people in your group 2. DOCUMENTS NEEDED FOR TRAVEL - U.S. Citizens 1. Passport Book and or Passport Card 2. FMM Tourist Permit - if traveling beyond the border zone (12-20 miles into Mexico), you need to complete an immigration form 'FMM' (Forma Migratoria Multiple). If you are flying, the airline will likely have you fill this form out before you land. Meanwhile, if you are driving across the border, you will need to fill out the form beforehand online and keep a tangible copy with you at all times along with your passport. While the form may not be checked during your stay, it is required in case of local checkpoints or border enforcement.
