Take the ferry here from Wall Street or Red Hook (Brooklyn) for a quick day trip without leaving the city. There are a ton of things to do here! Bike riding, eating and drinking with a view, hiking, tours, etc.
This less touristy market is a bit further out in Brooklyn in the Sunset Park (Industry City) neighborhood, but it's worth the trek! There's a Japanese food court with everything from ramen to omakase, a natural sake bar, and a rotating exhibit on the second floor.
