Back in August of 2013, two kids in a college prep program briefly glanced over at each other, locked eyes, and quickly looked away. Nhu Y had bangs, wore glasses, and was wearing a pair of Jordan 1s. Jesus was wearing a merino wool cardigan in the middle of August, with glasses and had an AP Chemistry book in hand. They were in the middle of an ice breaker activity and Jesus recalls that Nhu Y would choose to be a popsicle if she could be any food item in a freezer. After months of attending Saturday workshops, Jesus convinced the program director to arrange an ice skating gift exchange event with the secret agenda of having more time to interact with Nhu Y. The two had instant chemistry and became a couple shortly after, for the last 8 years the pair have grown up and experienced life together. For college, they both attended Creighton University. After college, they traveled the world together and went to 9 different countries in one month. Since the first day of Jesus' medical school, Nhu Y has been supportive in every possible form. She has even dropped Jesus off at the hospital at 4am on multiple occasions. Jesus proposed to Nhu Y in Hawaii, the two share a passion for traveling. Their first trip out of the country together was in the fall of 2018 to Sayulita Mexico. It makes sense for their wedding to be in Sayulita Nayarit. They would love for their closest friends and family to be with them on their special day.
