We first met in high school. We sat by each other during a movie and almost held hands, but ultimately barely said a word to each other. A few years later, I went to Subway after a tennis practice, a cute boy would try to give me my sub for free. I became flustered and insisted to pay. He decided I was weird and uninterested. Several years later, my college roommate (and current bridesmaid) started inviting some of her friends from a campus organization she joined to parties hosted at our house. That same boy found himself in our living room several times before finally realizing that I was in fact weird, but in a cute way, and maybe I was actually interested. We spent just about every single day together after that in summer 2016. Eventually I moved to Vietnam and he moved out to Arizona to student teach on a Navajo reservation. Long distance was tough, but Christmas break came, and conveniently he had a cousin getting married in Vietnam during that time. During his visit, I convinced him to join me on this crazy adventure, and he did. We spent two more years together in the country our parents came from getting to know each other and our culture. Our love has grown and flourished throughout the years, and we decided we didn't want to wait any longer. We declared on love on top of a mountain in Virginia on August 8, 2021 and officially began our lives together. We knew we would celebrate with our family and friends when the time was right, and that time is now! We are so excited to finally gather you all together, and we couldn't be more thankful for each and every one of you and the role you've played in our lives.
