Our wedding features a slightly non-traditional reception! To take advantage of the many rooms and historic interior of the Branch Museum, we will be hosting what is called a “Cocktail” or “New Orleans” style reception. This style of reception emphasizes a cocktail party atmosphere, and we encourage guests to roam freely around the reception space all night, to eat, drink, and dance to their hearts’ content. Accordingly, there is no seating chart, and seating is left open for guests to choose their own seats and tables.
Due to our reception's format, we will not have a coursed, plated dinner. Instead, plan on enjoying a variety of heavy appetizers, carving stations, and passed plates. Food is extremely important to us as a couple, and we hope that you can enjoy the full range of dishes we'll have on offer. Come hungry, and plan to leave full.
We request that guests wear formal attire. Women should wear ankle to floor length gowns, and we request that men wear a suit and tie with matching coat and pants. Please refrain from wearing very bright or neon colors. We ask that you stick to a fall formal color palette. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outside and will be followed by a New Orleans Style reception. Please plan to wear comfortable and appropriate footwear. Have fun and show your personality off! If you are unsure if what you have picked out is appropriate please contact the Bride and Groom. Absolutely no jeans, sneakers, or casual attire.
We love that you are excited for our wedding! Please check your invitation for a plus one.
Due to the lively format of our reception, we ask you leave your little ones at home.
We have a photographer and videographer who will be catching all those special moments! We ask that you enjoy the ceremony and let the professionals do all the hard work.
Guests attending the event can park in the adjacent parking lot, but overnight parking is not allowed. On-street parking is also available and free.
