Things To Do

If you're coming from out of town we're sure you already have your sights set on some great things to do around the greater San Francisco Bay Area. There's just so much to do we couldn't begin to narrow it down, but below are some of the places we can recommend. If you're planning something specific that's not on this list, get in touch with us and we'd be happy to share our thoughts.

Historic Downtown Petaluma

Downtown Petaluma is filled with an abundance of boutiques, antique shops, amazing restaurants, wine bars, and beer gardens. Ample parking available in downtown so you can park the car and take your time exploring. Highlights include: ---Brewster's Beer Garden, a lively outdoor beer garden with live music ---La Dolce Vita Wine Lounge, a chill wine lounge located in the heart of the "Theater District" ---Heebee Jeebee General Store, a quirky novelty store with interesting finds for the whole family

Sonoma Plaza

The Sonoma Plaza is filled with numerous boutiques, tasting rooms, and amazing restaurants. If you're into wine tasting you can sample at least a dozen wineries within walking distance, including Scott's absolute favorite Hawkes.

HenHouse Brewing Company

Located in an industrial park near our house, Henhouse offers some of the best craft beers you'll find. If you're worried about this being out of your way, world famous Laguintas brewing is right across the street so you can enjoy two breweries with one trip!

Point Reyes Lighthouse

If you're looking to explore the coast, the drive to Point Reyes to see the lighthouse is definitely worth it. You'll assuredly find a reason to stop in one of the towns along the coast for lunch or to explore the shops.

Graton Resort and Casino

Indian Springs Calistoga

Calistoga is renowned for its spa treatments, especially mud baths! There are a handful of places that have mud baths, but this would be a good place to start if you're looking to be pampered... with mud.

Sonoma Zipline Adventures

You'll never catch Geoff ziplining through mighty redwoods, but if you want to experience Northern California at its finest and want to kill an afternoon, Scott highly recommends it!

Iron Horse Vineyards

If you're looking to get out and see some breathtaking vineyards, this winery specializing in sparkling wine is a great place to aim the car. This region of Sonoma County is littered with a wide range of wineries that'll occupy your day.

Muir Woods

If hiking is your thing, Muir Woods is hands down the most popular spot in the area, so popular that you have to make reservations! If you'd rather not jump through all the hoops required for Muir Woods, there are other amazing hikes with stunning views peppered throughout the Bay Area.
