The color scheme of our wedding is pretty much everything you see on this invitation- champagne, evergreen, warm brown, rust, and the obvious white. We kindly request you to avoid these as best as possible.
Monday has been set aside for us to travel up to Estes Park and settle in for the next couple of days. This is also the day set aside for the bridal party and immediate family to do the rehearsal dinner and last-minute preparations. This is another day that you can use as you wish, but we highly encourage you to use this day to travel or plan your travel to Estes Park. The weather is unpredictable and this can cause sudden road closures. Please plan accordingly.
Of course, you can come for just the wedding. We understand that with it being in the middle of the week, it is difficult to get all of the time off. Do keep in mind, that the weather is unpredictable in the winter and the mountains, so the earlier you arrive, the safer it will be and the higher likelihood that you will be able to make the wedding.
There is not a set hotel block for the weekend before the wedding in Denver. We did not want to limit where you stayed if there was somewhere or something you wanted to explore while in here; as we have said, this is your vacation as well!
Yes, we will be providing transportation. There will be 2 shuttles taking people to the venue from 2:45 pm-3:45 pm. There will be 1 shuttle to transport back from the venue from 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm. There are only 2 locations for both pickup and drop off- The Holiday Inn and The Estes Visitor Center Parking Lot. If you miss the window for pick up or drop off, you are expected to find your own transportation to/from the venue.
Unfortunately, transportation from Denver to Estes Park and back will not be provided. We have a discount code to help rent vehicles and highly suggest carpooling with other people to reduce costs and traffic. Please see the travel section.
Please reach out to us and we will try our best to link you up with someone more comfortable driving. Please expect to help with rental price/gas.
Yes, there is parking. It is on the limited side, so if you would like to drive yourself instead of taking the shuttle provided, try to carpool with those from your hotel/lodging.
If you are staying at the lodging at the venue, you may have alcohol in your room, but it must remain in your room. If alcohol is found in cars or outside the venue (not including your room), they can shut down the bar at the wedding. Please keep all alcohol in your rooms/lodging.
Traveling for a destination wedding is expensive. Your gift to us is your presence at our wedding. Due to our nomadic lifestyle over the past several years, we have a lot of what is normally placed on a registry, but we want to obtain a home very soon; any contribution towards a down payment for a house or even helping us go on a small honeymoon is greatly appreciated. If you would prefer a more tangible gift, then we are working on a registry of some things that we would appreciate.
There will not be an open bar at the wedding. It will be a cash bar. 20% gratuity is already paid for by us, so unless you want to, do not feel the need to tip.
The venue will be at 7,500 feet above sea level. This means that the air will be very thin. Please understand what altitude sickness looks like and the best ways to combat it. It also requires less alcohol to get one intoxicated due to the high altitude, so we would like you to enjoy yourself but please use caution.
