We met in the operating room when Robert was working while going to school and Amelia was fresh out of nursing school. Robert was always trying his hardest to make Amelia laugh, and at first, she thought it was annoying, but his jokes became harder to ignore. After realizing he was just as unabashedly goofy as she was, she thought to ask him out on an ice cream date at Twistie Treat. Of course, to test how goofy he was, Amelia made him sit at the PlayMate kiddie table underneath an ice cream cone gondola. We got lost in conversation, three hours flew by, our ice cream was destroyed, and what was left was melted. From then on, we competed to see who could make who laugh the most. It's a competition I never want to win, as that would mean the game is over.
