5:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Ladies, let’s kick off wedding celebrations with an evening of self-love and sisterhood! Nayema is who she is because of the love and support of the special women who have built her up. Similar to a bridal shower, join us at our home for an intimate Mehndi night filled with beautiful henna, delicious bites, light-hearted activities, and the warmth of good company. The theme is Arabian Nights. Wear something cute you are comfortable in. Remember you'll have henna on your hands, so maybe rethink white!
2:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Dress code: Bright, bold, (ideally yellow) and ready for a bit of turmeric!
Join us for a vibrant celebration filled with color, joy, and tradition! The Gaye Holud (Turmeric Ceremony) is a cherished pre-wedding event where family and friends come together to bless the bride and groom with love, laughter, and a touch of turmeric for good luck and glowing skin! Expect food, music, games, and dance routines!
2:30 pm - 3:00 pm
If you would like to take part in this, please park at the wedding venue, but walk/arrive to Commons Park at 2:20 PM to walk with the crowd back to the venue in the processional. The wedding day celebrations will kickoff with the Baraat, the groom’s celebratory processional to the wedding venue. Accompanied by music, dancing, and vibrant energy, the groom arrives in style—traditionally on horseback or in a decorated vehicle—surrounded by family and friends. This spirited parade sets the tone for the day's celebration, symbolizing the groom’s journey to meet his bride and unite their two families. The groom's guests are invited to join the fun, dance to the beat of the dhol, and be part of this unforgettable moment. The baraat will start at 2:30 PM at Commons Park, about an 11 minute walk from the venue.
2:45 pm - 3:00 pm
Literally translating to "holding the gate", Gate Dhora is a playful and beloved wedding tradition between the groom and the bride's family, friends, and bridesmaids. When the groom arrives at the wedding venue, the bride's party blocks his entry, and the groom must negotiate his way in!
3:30 pm - 4:00 pm
Formal: Gowns, cocktail dresses, and suits welcome. Please see FAQ for traditional wear guidance if you'd like to participate.
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
There will be hors d'oeuvres and light bites in addition to delicious cocktails.
5:00 pm - 10:30 pm
