Flight
Our wedding will be in Lisbon, so flying into Humberto Delgado Airport is the way to go! If you can, avoid a layover on Azores Island, it is a tiny airport & flights are typically delayed.
Travel Note
After the wedding, Nathan and I will be heading to Algarve region (specifically Lagos). If you’re planning to join us, please scroll past the Lisbon hotel recs to read more about it! Lagos is about 2.5 hours south of Lisbon by car and we do recommend renting a car to drive rather than taking the bus. If your time in Portugal is limited, you might consider visiting other cities instead—check out the "OTHER CITIES" sections at the bottom of this page.
Travel Note
Great areas to book a hotel in Lisbon include Graça, Alfama, Avenida da Liberdade, Príncipe Real, Estrela, and Santos. These neighbourhoods are charming and typically a 15-30 minute walk to many of the city’s top attractions. A quick note: Lisbon’s historic charm means some hotels may lack modern amenities like elevators or air conditioning. Be sure to double-check for the features that matter most to you.
Travel Note
We will be heading to the Algarve (specifically Lagos) the day after the wedding and would love for anyone who's able to extend their trip to join us! If you're looking for amazing cliffs, incredible food, and a true laid back vacation vibe, we really recommend extending your Portugal stay to see the Algarve region. Check out the "Things To Do" tab of the website for all of our favourite spots in Lagos.

Sintra is a magical town close to Lisbon. It's known for its castles, palaces, and the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains. You can catch a train from Lisboa Rossio station, it takes under an hour and costs about €4.60 round trip. You can choose from many different palaces to see but the two most popular ones are Pena Palace & Quinta da Regaleira. You can buy tickets on their websites. In Sintra, you can easily grab an Uber or a TukTuk to make it up the mountains :) The TukTuks are so much fun, highly recommend it. Make sure to bring cash with you & bring extra layers since you're going high up the mountains where it gets chilly.
