FAQs

Question

Will I need a visa?

Answer

No visas are required for Canada, USA, and European passport holders. Otherwise, please check before booking flights, etc.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by April 30 2025 at the latest. If we don't hear from you by that date, we will (sadly) mark you down as a 'No'.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 PM. Please arrive no later than 3:15 PM so you can enjoy some welcome drinks, and find a seat. If you arrive late, you will not be able to walk in during the ceremony and will need to wait until the cocktail hour to join everyone.

Question

What is the order of events?

Answer

Please check the 'schedule' tab for details.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

Our wedding will be an adults-only affair to ensure a fun and carefree evening for everyone. We truly appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to see you there!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We’re hosting a small, intimate wedding and, unfortunately, cannot accommodate additional guests or +1s. To avoid any confusion, the names of those invited are listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is "black-tie encouraged", meaning we’d love for our guests to dress up in formal attire, but it’s not required. Think tuxedos, gowns, or your most elegant evening wear—whatever makes you feel glamorous and ready to celebrate! We kindly ask that guests avoid wearing light colours like white/cream and avoid casual attire like jeans, denim, or sneakers.

Question

Can I take pictures?

Answer

During the ceremony, our wonderful officiant will kindly ask everyone to put their phones away so we can all be fully present in the moment. Afterward, feel free to snap as many pictures as you’d like! And don’t worry—we’ll be sharing all the beautiful photos captured by our photographer.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

We can’t wait to celebrate with all of you—it truly means so much to us. Since we’ve already got everything we need for our home, we’re focusing on a honeymoon filled with amazing memories. If you’d like to contribute, we’d be so grateful. Thank you for being part of this special time in our lives!

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be held in the same place?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all take place at the same villa, Quinta do Torneiro.

Question

Are there reserved hotel blocks for guests?

Answer

We haven’t reserved any hotel blocks, but there are plenty of great accommodations nearby. Be sure to check out the ‘Travel Info’ tab on our website to help you plan your stay!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and dinner will take place outdoors, while the party and open bar will be indoors. Expect warm weather during the day, with cooler temperatures in the evening and nighttime. Be sure to check the forecast as the date approaches to plan accordingly!

Question

Is there free parking available?

Answer

Yes, the venue offers free parking if you’re renting a car to get around. However, your safety is our priority—if you plan to drink, we kindly encourage you to use an Uber or taxi.

Question

What kind of surfaces should I expect at the venue?

Answer

The villa property features plenty of grass and cobblestone areas where many of the events will take place. Inside, the floors are smooth tile. Please keep this in mind when selecting your footwear!
