Despite the 6-year gap in ages, people still think Nhi and Thuy are twins, or can't tell who is the older one. Nhi can't complain though, she has the best older sister! From surviving schools in both Viet Nam and the U.S., fashion advice, wedding planning, home buying, career development to navigating everything in life, Thuy has always been there, inspiring Nhi to grow and thrive every day. As Nhi said at Thuy's wedding- "Home is where Thuy is!"

If there was ever any doubt whether Hailey and Nathan were related, just get them together and let the high jinks ensue. You can't choose your family, but you can choose your friends and Hailey is a great friend and sister!

During orientation at Johns Hopkins School of Public Health, another classmate (David Tellez) kept telling Nhi about tips he learned from Spruha on navigating grad school. Nhi decided that she had to meet and befriend this cool person. Prior to March 2020, Nhi and Spruha were basically inseparable: from sitting next to each other in almost every class, working out at the gym, taking the shuttle to Homewood campus for dance classes, hanging out at coffee shops in Mt. Vernon, to simply having a snack break at Spruha's place in between classes. The pandemic did not stop them from "seeing" each other - they would zoom almost everyday! P.S. Spruha took the photo for the "Save Our Date" card, and also helped stage Nathan's proposal! Nhi honestly can't imagine wedding planning without Spruha.

David was Nathan's roommate in college. They share a love of Starcraft, D&D, board games, MMA and football watch parties. David could always be counted on to come up with a fun activity to do. A visit to Austin, TX always includes hanging out with David.
Jenna Sinkevitch

When Nhi and Nathan decided that "Joy" would be the key word for their wedding, Nhi knew that she wanted Jenna to be her bridesmaid. Jenna is always the first person to show up at Nhi and Nathan's parties (party invite at 8:00 pm? Jenna would be at the door at 8:01 pm at the latest) - and her presence simply sparks joy! A spontaneous sushi dinner before a midnight deadline or an impromptu window shopping evening, she is always down! Jenna was the best neighbor that Nhi could ask for during grad school in Baltimore. Their 5 pm walks in Mt. Vernon in spring 2021 (with little Remi!), after a long day of writing capstone and applying for jobs, were that beacon of light that helped Nhi power through and finish grad school strong.

Nathan can't remember a time before being friends with John Henry, they met when they were toddlers. Starting with library story-time and growing into late-night online gaming, they've always been considered as close as brothers. John Henry is a charismatic, talented writer with an abundance of opinions. He's a good guy and fun to be around.

Anyone who knows Nhi has probably received Lena updates since January 2020. Nhi is a proud auntie of this little mischievous bundle of joy! Lena is a fashionista who picks her own outfit everyday - we can't wait to see what she will wear as our flower girl!
