Parking and Trolley to Welcome Picnic at Wood Island Life Saving Station

Join us for a short boat ride to Wood Island! No parking is available at the boat dock, so we have provided two options for transportation: Option 1: If you plan to arrive at the dock in your personal vehicle, we have reserved parking at the First Congregational Church of Kittery (23 Pepperrell Road, Kittery Point, ME 03905). Shuttle vans will depart from the church parking lot to the boat dock. Guests parking at the church will have two ferry options, 5:30pm or 6:15pm. Please select your preferred boat time on the RSVP page. We will confirm final boat times with you closer to the event. (Please arrive at the church parking lot at least 15 minutes prior to your preferred boat departure.) Option 2: For those without transportation or who prefer not to drive, a trolley will pick up our guests at 4:15pm from the York Harbor Inn or Lindsay Road House and transport you to the boat dock for a 4:45pm ferry. Please note your preference for the 4:15pm trolley on the RSVP page. Return ferries and shuttles: Ferries will offer staggered departures from the island between 7:30pm – 9:00pm Shuttles will make multiple return trips to the church parking lot between 7:45pm – 9:30pm The Trolley will return to York Harbor Inn and Lindsay Road between 8:00pm – 9:30pm Keep in Mind: The cruising boats are covered but please dress in layers to accommodate weather changes. The island has gravel and some uneven ground, so please be mindful of your shoes.

Wedding Ceremony & Reception Shuttle

For transportation to the ceremony, a shuttle will pick up guests from York Harbor Inn and Stage Neck Inn. There is no parking available on site. After the Ceremony, a shuttle will transport all guests to the reception at the Reading Room. Shuttles will be available throughout the night and at the end of the evening to return guests to various locations in York Harbor. Please secure other transportation if you are traveling outside of York Harbor and be sure to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Shuttle Home From the After Party

A shuttle will be available at request to take people home from the after party back to their accommodation in York Harbor between 10:15pm-1am.

Flight

Airports

Boston Logan Airport (BOS): Providing tons of flights a day, most people opt to fly into Logan. The drive from Boston Logan Airport takes slightly over an hour with no traffic, or up to two hours with traffic. Portland Jetport (PWM): Many direct flights are provided during the summer months. 45 Minutes away from York, Portland Jetport is a smaller airport experience and can be a quicker alternative to Boston's Logan Airport. Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT): Manchester airport is a hour away from York. A smaller airport with a limited number of direct options.

Travel Note

Ordering an Uber or Lyft in York

Ubers and Lyfts can be challenging to book when originating in York. We will be providing transportation from York Harbor Inn and Stage Neck Inn for both events: Welcome Party and Ceremony & Reception. With this in mind, our recommendation would be to book a rental car if you would like to be able to explore York on your own throughout the weekend.

Centrally located in the Harbor, this is a perfect place to stay for walking and exploring York Harbor. They do not offer room blocks, so please book by calling or via the website. Transportation will be provided from this hotel to the Welcome Party and to the Ceremony & Reception.

Centrally located in York Harbor, it's just a short walk to the Fisherman's Walk and just down the road from the beach. They do not offer room blocks, so please book by calling or via the website.

Centrally located in the Harbor, this is a perfect place to stay for walking and exploring York Harbor. They do not offer room blocks, so please book by calling or via the website. Transportation will be provided from this hotel to the Welcome Party and to the Ceremony & Reception.

On the other side of the river, the Dockside provides a beautiful view of the mouth of the harbor. They do not offer room blocks, so please book by calling or via the website.
