A vampire and a penguin start talking at a party…no really, that’s where their story begins. Nathalie, the vampire, and Kyle, the penguin, met at a Halloween party in 2014 while in college at Elon. Who knew that a vampire and a penguin would make such a great match?! After college, Kyle moved to Hoboken while Nathalie finished her senior year at Elon and completed a training program in North Carolina before she eventually landed in Boston. The first few years of long distance were made a whole lot easier thanks to the travel benefits from Kyle’s brother, Reid, a pilot. Needless to say, by 2019 it didn’t take much convincing for Kyle to move to Boston, and with so many family and friends living nearby, Boston quickly became their home. Fast forward to 2020 and the infamous pandemic...after attempting to tough it out on his own for a miserable few days, Kyle eagerly accepted the Peter family’s invitation for him to move in with them. It’s amazing how well you get to know one another when quarantined together for three months, and let’s just say that Kyle got to know the Peter family, their endless salad bowl, and dog Opti, really well. They got to know him even better and his foresight to arrive with the essentials (toilet paper!), willingness to take the 3 mile daily COVID walk, and step up to many a sink full of dishes. And all this with a smile! By the end of 2020, Nathalie and Kyle moved into a North End apartment together where they happily stayed for the next two years enjoying the lively neighborhood vibe. By 2022, however, it was time for something new, so they set out for a new adventure in Beacon Hill. Over the years, Nathalie and Kyle have enjoyed incredible travel adventures to far away places including Patagonia and Portugal. And many domestic trips highlighted by Florida with Kyle’s dad Kim, Bermuda with Grammy, and Utah + Costa Rica with the Peter Family. Their “try anything” attitudes have gotten Nathalie on the driving range where she received Worrel pro level pointers and Kyle on the ski slopes where Nathalie helped him discover a new meaning to a black diamond. Kyle started plotting the proposal plan in February of 2023 (with a little help from Katie). Although Find-My-Friends and a few close calls almost tipped Nathalie off on a few occasions, Kyle managed to keep it a secret! Kyle got down on one knee and surprised her, right there on the York River. We are so excited to celebrate our wedding with you, and invite you to have a front row seat to the big day that will begin the rest of our lives together! Can’t wait to see you in York, Maine on September 21, 2024!
