What is the dress code?

Answer

For Friday, it is casual coastal keeping in mind you will be on a boat and exploring an island as the sun goes down. We encourage layers as the temperatures in Maine can cool down quickly. For the ceremony and reception on Saturday, dress to impress in your best garden cocktail attire. For men, a tie, dress shirt and slacks is appropriate, jacket is optional but encouraged if you opt for no tie. For women, a midi or full length dress, wearing patterns and colors are encouraged. The ceremony will be held outside on the grass so please be mindful of your shoes. Please check the weather to ensure you are prepared and comfortable!

What is the weather like in September in Maine?

Answer

September is a beautiful time of year in Maine! Please keep in mind that it can be warm during the day but chilly at night so bring layers. We recommend checking the forecast in advance.

What kind of transportation? Where do I park?

Answer

We will be providing some transportation to and from spots around York Harbor for most events. If you live locally or staying outside of the harbor area, please make plans to drive as Uber and Lyft can be hard to come by. There will be satellite parking for Friday. Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us and for our photographer to be able to capture the best pictures. Once the ceremony is over, feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like and don't forget to share them with us!

Are kids welcome?

Invitations will be specific and will include the names of the children who are invited.

Can I bring a guest/date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Thank you for understanding and please feel free to reach out with any questions!

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please respond on this wedding website using the RSVP tab no later than August 1st. Let us know if you have any trouble. If you do not RSVP by August 1st, we will assume that you are unable to attend.

What do I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be dearly missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "not attending" so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!
