Sister of Honor
Sami & Carolyn met the day Sami was born. They started off as sisters and now share parts of each other's soul. They can have fun doing anything but mostly end up applying face masks, drinking wine, and passing tissues back & forth while watching movies. Sami’s fondest memories with her big sis take place on warm summer evenings in Ohio, camping & attending music festivals but nothing compares to having Avery in their lives and watching her big sis be a mother. Carolyn is the most patient, self-less sister and friend anyone could ask for. Sami has shared every aspect of her life with her & she has always been by Sami’s side, ready without judgement, only wanting the best. At the wedding, expect Carolyn to be the most excited, with the biggest smile, getting & keeping the party going!
Best Man
I can't begin to try to fit the lifetime of adventure I've shared with Kevin into this little block of text... He's known me at every stage of my life, he knows all the versions of me, and I him. I've never known someone of such individuallity and perspective. I wish most days I could approach the world the way he does (in so many ways). He has a profound understanding of priority in life, what's really important. I try to take all these intricacies of my brother as lessons, just like a good younger brother should :) He has helped me through more tough situations than I can count - level headed and calm as ever - and so I can't imagine a better person to stand beside me through this, the biggest day of my life, than him.
Friend of Honor
Sami met Sophia in middle school, becoming inseparable in high school and navigating teenage years together. Almost all of Sami’s high school memories take place at the Karageorge’s house and usually include food of some kind. Sophia is an empathetic friend that experiences life with you… she celebrates with you, laughs with you, and gets mad with you. Though they live in different states, Sophia has never missed a bday of Sami’s & she always brings snacks. Sami knew that Sophia would be by her side before she knew who she would marry. On wedding day, Sophia won't be able to relax until Sami does. She will be the one making sure the bride & groom eat while also sneaking them shots in the flask she snuck in. SOPHAMI <3

Big poppa Mclaren Scottsdale. Decidedly a brother in every way possible. I can barely remember a time before we were throwing rocks at each other from across the Kent St. yard, shooting each other with paintball and bb guns or setting out on expeditions through Virginia farmland. Before long we were passing nights in the parlor (the name affectionally given to the covered patio of the first house he, Kevin and I rented after moving to Asheville). Seems most nights we were out there plotting world domination, that or driving some obscene distance to play extremely loud music in an innocent unsuspecting little bar. Then, I couldn't imagine taking the stage without him, and I don't plan on starting now!
Bride Side
Chanel & Sami attended high school together & became fast friends. Freshman year, their families moved to the same street & they spent almost every night at each other’s houses. Now, in Colorado, not much has changed… they live two streets away & have frequent adult sleepovers (complete with reality TV binges)! Chanel taught Sami many things growing up, but one that sticks out the most is how to make the world’s best toast (you have to ask for the secret in person). Chanel is a pop culture queen who loves salty snacks & quality naps. A caregiver by nature, Chanel is a loyal friend who always shows up. On wedding day, she will be the one constantly checking in on the bride, fixing everyone’s makeup, and killing it on the dance floor! Che-Chu <3

The king of the booth himself - Greg and I forged a friendship out of a passion for creating music, sometimes incredibly silly and occasionally passable. Whether traveling the highways of the south with a trailer full of old music gear and romping around the streets of Boone I'm always having a blast when Greg is part of the party. I haven't quite convinced him to get bassnectar hair extensions and dj the after after party but with everyone's help we may just convince him. Either way I'm honored to have him by my side!
Bride Side
Sarah is one of Sami's longtime friends having first met in 6th grade when Sami was the new kid at Worthington Hills Elementary. Sami was drawn towards Sarah after noticing they were wearing the same shirt on one of her first days and after learning that Sarah had also moved to the new school only a year or two earlier. The two remained friends throughout Middle School, High School, and College but the relationship really blossomed post-college when Sami followed Sarah to Asheville, NC. It was during a visit to Sarah that motivated Sami to move to the majestic town in the Appalachian Mountains where she would one day meet her future husband. Sarah has remained one of Sami's dearest friends who is always by her side, cheering her on, which is no doubt what she will be doing on Wedding Day.

While Davis and I have been getting ourselves in trouble for a long time it wasn't until we shared 100 square feet of living space in Coltrane dormitory that things really got out of hand (just kidding, mostly). He was great to have around that definitive year and has been a good friend every one since. We are incredibly similar Davis and I, which has meant we've been able to remain close even after we've both moved several times since the college days. Can't imagine the big day without him!
Bride Side
"Sams" and "Megs" met while working together at a restaurant in downtown Asheville where Megan made an impression on Sami with her blue headband and matching big blue eyes. It didn't take long for them to hit it off seeming how they liked the same things - jam bands, Zumba, and floating down the river. Megan became family to Sami which was incredibly comforting for her since she didn't have any of her own in North Carolina. They became so close that Sami knew Megan was pregnant even before Megan did! Megan is a friend that pays attention to the small things, which in reality… can be what matters the most. On wedding day, she will be the first one to take off her shoes and the last one to get off of the dance floor.

Older brother to Sami, James has often played the role of "protector" to his little sister. So, it's no surprise that she would want him up at the alter, keeping one eye on the groom ;-). Although the two are six years a part in age, they were always close growing up. They would play video games together for hours (HALO & Guitar Hero anyone?) which Sami was ALWAYS better than James at. And while the childhood memories are cherished, it's watching her big brother grow into a father of two beautiful boys and having a successful career as an Executive Chef that makes her smile the most. On wedding day, James will likely be torn between checking in on the groom and the bride while also being glad he isn't doing the cooking for once!
Flower Child
Avery is the daughter of Sami's older sister, Carolyn. She is sure to make us laugh!
Holder of the Rings
JJ is the son of Sami's older brother, James. We can't wait to see JJ all dressed up for his big day!
