Our goal is for everyone to feel comfortable and cozy while still looking smart and sophisticated. We encourage chunky sweaters, oversized cardigans, corduroy sports coats, long sleeve maxi dress, velvet skirts, jumpsuits, boat shoes, heeled boots, clogs, etc. The ceremony will take place outside where ground can be uneven and dancing will be in the basement which requires stairs, so we suggest ditching the stilettos and opting for wedges or flats. Dinner will be served outside under covered, heated patios with blankets provided but we recommend bringing layers if you run cold. If you'd like to join our color scheme we suggest autumnal colors like olive green, terracotta, and mustard yellow. Our cat was rescued on a freeway in China and lost his front left arm. We named him "Ketchup" because with his three legs he always has to "catch up." Ketchup is terrified of people he doesn't know and loud noises, so he will very likely not be making an appearance during our wedding day. We will do our best to remove any dander from our home, but if you are allergic we recommend bringing some allergy meds with you.
We do! As if planning a wedding wasn't enough to do, we brought home a puppy on July 7th and named her Lemon. Lemon is a mini long haired dachshund and will be about 5 months by the time of our wedding. As opposed to Ketchup, Lemon will very much be present throughout our wedding. Again, if you are allergic please prepare accordingly. If you are not allergic, please also prepare accordingly....for lots of puppy kisses!
We love the rain! And yes, it rains a lot. However, November is historically a fairly dry month and we are prepared for rainy weather. Much of our backyard is covered and we will have umbrellas, heating lamps, and a large basement to utilize. We do recommend dressing warm as well as packing a coat and sensible shoes for wet weather. While we hope the weather stays dry, we are totally ok with a little rain and know we will enjoy the day with you either way!
Yes. Very much.
Please do so no later than September 9.
We have plenty of parking on the streets in our neighborhood. We recommend parking on N Edison St or N Decatur St and do not recommend parking on the other side of N Williamette Blvd as it can be busy and difficult to cross. Please be respectful of our neighbors as you're walking to and from our house.
