Question

By when should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as possible, or by September 8th. This way there is sufficient time to reserve a seat, meal, and most importantly - dessert! You may do so on this same website by clicking the RSVP tab and responding that way.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Since the ceremony will begin promptly at 5 pm, we ask our guests to please arrive between 4:30 and 4:45 pm. Therefore there is plenty of time for you to choose your seats and settle in before the ceremony.

Where do I park?

Answer

Please follow signs provided by venue. These will direct you to automatically park to the left of the entrance on the other side of a small building. Those that are handicapped may turn right and be let out of their vehicle at the main brown barn. However, please have someone drive your car back to the designated parking area after drop off. There are no cars allowed to park outside of designated parking area.

What should I wear, is there a dress code?

Answer

There is no dress code, but would love for our family and friends to get dressed up with us! Please note that this event will be held outdoors weather permitting. Since we all know Georgia weather can be temperamental, please check the weather before you attend in case a light jacket is necessary. I would also advise for the women to refrain from wearing tall skinny heels. The reception will be held outside on grass, so would hate for someone trip up while throwing down some sick dance moves.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Since we have a phenomenal photographer present we do ask that you take the time during our ceremony to unplug. Please put away all cell phones and cameras to enjoy this moment with us. However, we do strongly encourage guests to post pictures during the reception. We only request when posting these pictures that you use our wedding hashtag #wholetthedobbsout so we can keep track of all the them!

Is smoking allowed?

Answer

Smoking is only allowed at the designated smoking area. Do not smoke outside of this area, and please dispose of your cigarette butts properly when finished. This area is on the left of the main barn and labeled accordingly.

What kind of food will be served?

Answer

We are first providing a cocktail hour with a full charcuterie spread. Please be aware of select items that have pork. These items will be labeled and separated from the rest of the appetizer. As for dinner, we are having fried chicken and waffles (spicy option provided) with three different sides including mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, and collard greens! This will be accompanied by a southern beverage bar. One will have the option to wash down their meal with sweet tea, unsweet tea, and lemonade. Hope you come hungry!

Are children allowed to attend?

Answer

We would love to see your children to help celebrate our big day! However, we do encourage parents to find sitters for the night for their young children. We want an opportunity for you to have a parents night out to enjoy. However, if one is unable to find a sitter please note this when you RSVP so we can plan for your little ones.
