It all started on a bright, sunny, 95 degree Colorado afternoon, the perfect start to any love story... then they both swiped right. Romantic, right? Yes, we met on an online dating app. Turns out they do work! But none of it would've happened if a few things hadn't been put into place first. Joey had recently moved from California and was living out in Brighton with his sister, brother-in-law and their two kiddos for his first few years. He set out to live on his own somewhere and start a more independent journey. God readily provided Joey with a bachelor-sized cabin in the Evergreen mountains. This was an intentional and significant detail for God's plan to play out because now a small town by the name of Bailey was now in radius that would pick up on Joey's dating app. Naomi at this time however, was cursing dating apps and ready for them to be sworn off for good. After some failed dating attempts, she set out with an emptiness, a hunger for God and hope to find a way back to herself... but maybe just with oneeee more date first. She took the risk and went on one last date. She was right, it would be her last first date... just not in the way she expected. The two shared in a few days of getting-to-know-you messaging on Bumble, which turned into 2-3 hour phone calls that had them laughing and even sharing credit scores and "embarrassing secrets no one else knows". Their first date at the Muddy Buck was days later and their chemistry was with certainty. Now a year and a half later with many dates, laughs, and secrets shared, the two who almost didn't meet on a date that almost didn't happen are getting married and couldn't be more happy to commit their love in front of friends and family.
