This is a great short hike (less than 2 miles each way) but with quick elevation and some scrambling required. The trailhead starts within US Airforce Academy and ascends one of the highest peaks in the area. The trail takes you along a creek up to an open aspen forest with wildflowers and finally up the summit where you have a view of the entire city.
