Wernigerode Castle is located on a hill above the historic town of Wernigerode, in the Harz region of central Germany. Easily reachable by train or car, it offers stunning views over the city and surrounding mountains. Originally built in the Middle Ages and later transformed into a romantic residence, the castle is one of the most iconic landmarks of the Harz.

We kindly ask our guests to arrange their own accommodations in Wernigerode for the weekend of Friday, April 24 to Sunday, April 26. Platforms like Booking.com or Airbnb offer plenty of options to suit every taste. For families or larger groups, a Ferienwohnung (holiday apartment) can be a great choice, and guests can coordinate among themselves to find the best deals. If you are traveling with children, we recommend choosing a place near Wernigerode Castle, as our main celebration on Saturday will take place nearby (see Schedule). There are also many charming towns near Wernigerode that make excellent alternatives — just consider travel time and train frequency when planning. For our guests coming from abroad, or for anyone who is not familiar with online platforms or has other questions, we will soon assign a contact person to assist you and make sure everyone finds a suitable place to stay.
